About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

once 4 dudes flew over the mountain ridge in front of my face in ifrits and revokers then proceeded to annihilate my sorry ass A19 from existence with missile spam 10/10 game would get my plane desintegrated again
Easy 9/10 Bought this game bout 2 weeks ago and my free time been STUCK on it. I wouldn't say it's the sole cause, but it's a major part of me buying my first HOTAS, then shortly after that a webcam for head tracking. I'm telling y'all, this is where the game really shines. Controller is fun and works great, but flying around with the HOTAS setup is a whole different demon, I found myself getting stuck to the game for even longer once I bought a HOTAS and each game is always a blast.
There's not much I can say about Nuclear Option that other reviews haven't already. It's just a damn fun game that does what it does really well. The beauty of the game lies in it's ability to just get out of your way and let you play the way you want to. Unlike many other flight sims which take hours to learn, are exorbitantly expensive, or force you to grind for hours (or do all three), Nuclear Option does nothing to stop you from hopping into a dynamic high-stakes battle or heavily scripted campaign as soon as you boot it up. It's easy to learn, hard to master, and is the perfect blend of casual arcade gameplay and flight sim. Every update brings new content and makes me want more. While there are definitely areas for improvement, this is a game I foresee myself sinking many, many hours into for years to come and I highly recommend it for anyone even remotely interested in flight sims whether you're a casual or a simulator enthusiast.
This is amazing. Personally, I love DCS, but it always felt similtaneously too much and not enough. Whilst this lacks the insane depth of DCS, it is sim enough to scratch that itch whilst also providing the fun and action typically only provided by arcade games. This is early access, and it's already the best flight game I have ever played, and leaves me very excited for it's future. So yes, get it. I can not endorse it enough.
