About
NTE is a supernatural open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio. The story begins in the city of Hethereau, where you play as its first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. You'll join the crew at Eibon, a rundown antique shop that keeps the lights on by taking Anomaly commissions from anyone willing to pay. Alongside a diverse cast of extraordinary companions, you'll unravel urban mysteries, ride out adventures full of laughs and heartbreak, and write your own stories in the neon-lit streets.
Welcome to the first stop in your appraisal career—Hethereau, a sprawling and vibrant metropolis!
In the crowded halls of the Bureau of Anomaly Control, hopeful Oddities queue up for resident permits, while over at the train station, an Esper commuter snaps his fingers to clean his work suit on the fly. Down one block, a chaotic chase after Danzaburou is spiraling out of control; while across the street, a vacationing silver-gloved Butler is shooting the breeze with the owner of a second-hand electronics shop. Everywhere you look, there's no shortage of intriguingly "abnormal" scenes.
Want to dive deeper into a world where humans and the supernatural coexist? Start your journey in Hethereau to see it for yourself. The lively and quirky daily life here is a grand adventure in itself.

Neverness to Everness really surprised me. Its biggest strength, in my opinion, is Hethereau, a beautiful city full of personality that genuinely makes you want to explore every corner of it. 🌆✨ The combat is fun, the characters have amazing designs, and being able to explore the city in different ways makes simply wandering around part of the experience. It still has room for improvement, especially when it comes to performance and some of its systems, but its world, visual style, and overall personality give it a lot of potential. If you enjoy action RPGs, open worlds, and stylish characters, NTE is definitely worth checking out. 🎮💜

The game continues to improve with each update. More and more repeatable baker modes. Definitely would recommend giving it a try
Appears generous in the start, falls off a cliff later. Even genshin is more generous in late game. Copious amounts of generative AI used, which they do not disclose, even in paid premium skins. Feign ignorance when they forget ai watermarks in textures and ensure the community "Ai is only used in background assets". [1] UI design is sloppy and unintuitive. Extremely clunky, and unresponsive. Misclicks are frequent, if your click is registered at all. [2] Seldom used features are not translated from chinese, with letters often escaping their buttons. [3] A loud audio bug on bootup still happens due to the games audio breaking. This is a serious bug that could cause speaker/headphone damage, or ear damage. It remains unpatched and the common consensus is that its best to launch the game with the volume down. What? [4] All grind is locked behind a stamina system, either daily or weekly. Their "solution" to this was to introduce events that burn stamina at twice the rate, which i wouldnt mind if all rewards were doubled as well. Which they are not, and doesnt solve the problem of having no reason to play when your stamina runs out. [5] The story is in shambles. I was hoping it was going to be brought together at some point. Unfortunately, every chapter gets more and more convoluded and nonsensical. Did the script writing AI run out of ram, or forget the plot? Oh sorry, i forgot we arent supposed to talk about that. My bad. Its clear the appeal in this game is in its characters, which are fetishized beyond what id consider normal even for this genre. A solid 1/4 of my screen is covered in feet the second i open the gacha system. [6] I was drawn in by the city scape. I kind of regret it, and all i lost was my time. Post review additions: [1] This is mentioned very often in social media circles. On reddit, players will violently defend the (200 million dollar) studios use of a free AI generator. [2] The UI is arguably just as important as combat mechanics in a game like this, due to how often you interact with it. This is possibly the messiest UI design i have ever seen. Its honestly quite embarassing. You can break the pause screen by swiping left and right on the phone a few times quickly. [3] I believe the aquarium screen is still partially untranslated. Its been months. [4] This has happened to me roughly 5 times in the over 100 hours i have played. [5] Even money which is tied to the stamina system. This isnt entirely uncommon for these types of games though. What is uncommon, is the pricing on all larger items. Larger items will take you quite literally months to grind due to the hard limitations on income in game. This system does not ease up as you level, effectively forcing you to wait several months for a single high tier vehicle. This is not a passive grind either, effectively forcing the player online. [6] Im no stranger to the gooner bait in these types of games, but at some point its just getting a bit out of hand. If lewd features is what youre after, play Nikke. From what ive seen, at least then you get your fan service with some actual story worth following. If you dont want that fanservice, move over to Wuthering Waves. The only redeeming quality of NTE is the city scape and decent but shallow combat mechanics.
Fun would recomended playing with friends
