Tags : Combat Arena & Smashbroesque Additional Tags : Delete local Content & Remove from Library TLDR : Lackluster solo, meant as a co-op game. Not without my donuts is a solo and co-op ... arena combat game. You have to race from platform to platform shooting enemies that spawn from the middle of the ceiling as you navigate from platform to platform, gathering donuts. More donuts unlock scripted mini events and counts as your score. It also randomly changes your gun on you. Its kind of like a flash version of an old atari game. It is not terribly amusing solo I can say that much, at some point you plateau in terms of how many donuts you can gather before being overwhelmed and the store doesnt offer persistent upgrades for the purchases you make with in game donuts. I dont want to remove it from library until I try to see if the game improves at all if teamworked on with a friend but this is local co op only so im not sure when I will get to do that. I wanted to wait out to try with a friend to see if the game had a little more depth to it with teamwork involves but I suspect it would just overwhelm us at a different, higher ceiling of donuts accumulated or we would find a way to steadily outmaneuver it and quit out of boredom. Probably the former. Going to remove this from library to cut down on clutter as the entertainment value is too low no matter how you cut the cheese

I don't recommend this game
I started to hate donuts after playing this game... I am not going to Dunkin' Donuts anymore... 0/10
Developed by Stake deep interactive and published by Ghost in the cartridge, Not without my donuts delivers an energetic arcade experience wrapped in a charmingly ridiculous premise. Rather than relying on a complex narrative, the game embraces lighthearted humor by placing players in the role of heroic cupcakes determined to defend their beloved donuts from an invasion of bizarre monsters that have emerged through an interdimensional portal. The candy-coated setting, quirky enemy designs, and tongue-in-cheek storytelling create an entertaining backdrop that immediately establishes the game's playful personality. It is a concept that knows exactly how absurd it is, and that confidence helps make the overall experience memorable from the very beginning. At its heart, the game is a fast-paced twin-stick style arena shooter where survival depends on constant movement, quick decision-making, and efficient crowd control. Players are surrounded by increasingly aggressive waves of creatures that attack from every direction, forcing them to remain alert at all times. The objective extends beyond simply defeating enemies, as protecting the precious donuts becomes an equally important part of every battle. The straightforward gameplay mechanics make it easy to understand within minutes, but the escalating enemy numbers and increasing pressure ensure that later stages demand genuine skill and concentration. One of the game's more creative mechanics revolves around its weapon system. Instead of permanently carrying a favorite weapon, players receive different armaments by collecting donuts scattered throughout the arena. This feature keeps every match unpredictable, encouraging adaptation instead of repetitive strategies. As players continue progressing, additional weapons become available through unlocks, providing a satisfying sense of advancement while rewarding repeated play sessions. Although the randomized weapon changes occasionally interrupt carefully planned tactics, they also contribute to the game's dynamic pace by constantly presenting new combat opportunities. The colorful presentation is another standout feature. Vibrant environments, expressive character animations, and amusing monster designs create a visual style that feels cheerful despite the nonstop action. Every element, from the adorable cupcake protagonists to the oversized insects and strange creatures invading their world, reinforces the game's playful atmosphere. Explosions, projectiles, and visual effects remain easy to follow even during chaotic battles, allowing players to maintain awareness while enjoying the lively cartoon-inspired aesthetic. The soundtrack complements the action well with upbeat music that sustains the game's energetic rhythm, while sound effects provide satisfying feedback for every successful attack and defeated enemy. Replayability is one of the strongest aspects of Not without my donuts. The gradual weapon unlock system, increasing difficulty, and pursuit of higher scores encourage players to return for additional sessions. Local cooperative multiplayer further enhances the experience by allowing two players to defend Cupcake World together, transforming the frantic battles into an enjoyable cooperative challenge. Working alongside another player introduces additional strategy and significantly increases the entertainment value, especially for those who enjoy classic couch co-op games that emphasize teamwork and shared excitement. The game is not entirely free of flaws. Its arcade-focused design means content can feel somewhat limited once players have experienced every enemy type and unlocked the available arsenal. The randomized weapon mechanic, while refreshing, can occasionally produce frustrating moments when a less desirable weapon appears during a critical encounter. Difficulty also rises sharply during later waves, creating situations that may overwhelm newcomers before they have fully mastered the mechanics. These issues do not undermine the core gameplay, but they may reduce long-term appeal for players seeking a more expansive campaign or greater gameplay variety. Despite these limitations, Not without my donuts succeeds by delivering exactly what it promises: a humorous, accessible, and entertaining arcade shooter built around a wonderfully unconventional concept. Its whimsical setting, polished presentation, satisfying action, and enjoyable cooperative mode combine to create an experience that captures the spirit of classic arcade gaming while introducing enough unique mechanics to stand apart from similar titles. Players looking for a colorful action game with quick sessions, replayable challenges, and plenty of personality will likely find this sugary adventure worth experiencing. Rating: 5/10
