-short review: 8/10 ... I love everything about this game so much but I wish unlocking decor was different... the game is so cute but a bit of a catfish and unneccasarily grindy to 100% it, I wish decor and colors would unlock sooner rather than the stagnant repetitive and overly drawn out gameplay to unlock them and the 2nd half of the game achievements. (if that was the case then it's an easy 10/10 for me) -full review (I love this game sm and I want it to improve so I'm going full erm actually mode): I've been eagerly waiting for this game since it got announced, played the demo and it made me even more excited just to get disspointed halfway through the full game. At first the game is super cute and it's fun to meet all the cute animal characters, unlocking different menu items, and decorating the cute snacks was really nice and relaxing at first, then comes the "catfish" part. The demo showed you some of the possible decorations you can use but in the full game all furniture and decor and even colors are locked behind a loyalty system. Each time the cute animals visit your cafe u get a stamp on their loyalty cards (total: 10 cards with 50 stamps/visits for each of the 10 animals) and filling each card will result in unlocking 1 piece of furniture/decor. Decorating your cafe at first and even after you meet all the animals (50%ing the game) is pretty limited in both items and colors. Unlocking all the decor items/colors requires such a mind numbingly repetitive gameplay experience, this is also the other 50% of the achievements which takes too long with no devlopment or change in the gameplay to keep it fun, just a stagnant repetitive and overly drawn out gameplay. I wish it would unlock sooner so you can decorate your cafe and make it cute early in the game, or that there would be more achievments in between or even being able to buy or skip some stamps since you will end up having so much money but barely any decor unlocked to spend it on. ps: there's an option to skip the rhythm game for a lesser score/money but even then it's too slow and repetitve imo. pps: I LOOOOOVE THE GLITTER COLORS AND THE WAY THEY TWINKEL -Bugs I've encountered (pc and steam deck): -pc: game freezing when an animal is paying. and on steam deck it happened 4 times only when Dani (the beaver) is about to pay T^T Animals sitting still not eating/drinking - animals sitting still after finishing their snack rather than raising their hands to pay. waffles turning MASSIVE when an animal picks it up to sit on a table lol. -steam deck: cursor disappearing with no way to control the game with buttons or touch.

5/5 stars from me! TLDR; very cute and calming, perfect game for winding down. I have loved this game since I played the demo when it first came out, but it now has a special place in my heart for helping me as I recover from having all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and being in a lot of pain/discomfort. This game has been the perfect mix of cute and comforting, keeping me engaged enough to not focus on my pain so much but not feel overwhelming. It's even helped me calm down enough to get in a few naps. (I so appreciate that nothing is time sensitive, no penalties for momentarily dozing off while decorating a cupcake haha) Thank you to the dev(s?) for creating such a soothing game.
In Nom Nom: Cozy Forest Café, you run and decorate a café, prepare food and drinks to the rhythm, and befriend cute animals. The art style and animal customers are adorable. There are also a ton of customization options, from choosing the icing, patterns, and toppings of cookies to changing the color of the walls and chairs. You also unlock new furniture and decor as you play. The rhythm game is fun, and each food and drink has its own sequence. That said, the gameplay itself is repetitive because each in-game day, the customers come in and request an item, you play the rhythm game, show them where to sit, and then get paid. Also, you can play the same rhythm sequence over and over again if the customers order the same items. With that said, I do think Nom Nom: Cozy Forest Café is a good game.

Ce jeu est parfait si vous cherchez un combo entre jeu de rythme et jeu de gestion. On y tient un café que l'on peut décorer progressivement en avançant dans l'histoire. Pour servir des clients, des mini-jeux rythmiques (assez simples) rendent le tout un peu plus ludique. La DA est assez simple mais les musiques sont très cools et c'est un jeu chill vers lequel on peut se tourner pour avancer tranquillement dans la décoration de son café.

I cannot express enough how perfect of a game this is! This is everything I've ever wanted in a baking game. The way you make the food is absolutely adorable, and the level of customization is perfect. The characters you interact with are precious.
Is a really cute & simple game. I would like to recommend a few things that I think would help make the game more enjoyable and immersive. For one, I would love it if the animals talked to eachother while their sitting in your cafe, or have different animations. It makes me a little sad when I have more than one sitting at a table of 4 n they never talk or react to eachother. Second, more furniture. I know you gotta unlock more by playing & filling out the tickets with the animals but after awhile it can become boring. Add in a trader for certain days or just new starter furniture. Third, PLEASE let me have the option to paint all the walls at once. I did not like painting em one by one. Fourth, when you are making your own logo, please add in white as a color. I may have not looked properly, but I did not see a white as an option and it ruining the idea of me making a character that has that color. Fifth, adding maybe a bathroom area or the characters leaving trash on the floor or different things would help make it more immersive. This is a simple game, but I found myself wishing the characters did more than just come in to eat. I wanna be able to turn them away, see them in different moods, see them accidentally leave trash on the floor, needing to use the restroom, coming in to just study n work. Just more interactions and actions taking place with the animals. Besides my critiques, I think this game is very cute & relaxing.
