I don't know who needs to see this in 2023, but don't bother with this game. If you want a marble game, there are better options. In my experience of playing through its very short main queue of levels, I would say Spectraball's design came through as thoroughly uninspired, clunky, and sometimes frustrating. The level design in particular has you going through extremely linear paths with repetitive, confusing obstacles, and platforming challenges that feel a bit miscalibrated at times. All of this is made just a little bit worse by the slightly awkward physics, as well. The music feels, to my ear, equally uninspired, as well as the visual style, which features cliche environments and sterile level backgrounds. Not that they couldn't have made a nice looking game with those choices of environments, but they just... didn't. I won't touch on the mini-games by the way, because I was too bored with the game to bother trying them out. Maybe buy Spectraball if you just love marble games and want to kill time. It's not horrible, and it's probably worth the $0.49 they're charging right now for the few hours of mediocre entertainment it can offer. Anyway, I have more I could say, but this review is probably pointless to post these days anyway. I just felt like writing about this game for a minute. Go play Venineth if this game looks appealing to you because of the apparent style it was going for. Venineth is extremely cool and good and puts Spectraball to shame.

Mediocre but fun marble platformer, recommended for marble enthusiasts - 6/10 Spectraball is a marble platformer with 7 stages and a few minigames. The first few levels are fairly well made and have an interesting atmosphere to them, unfortunately the later levels get a bit boring and repetitive. The "puzzle" tag confuses a bit, as there is no real puzzling involved, besides from minor pathfinding, so do not expect puzzles like I did. The minigames are fun, although they won't entertain you for a long time. Overall the games biggest flaw is lacking optimisation: - the controls feel clunky, often times not properly registering a jump - the red boosters often used are very buggy leading to not getting the speed and failing a jump - some levels feel unfinished, especially the minigames could have some more work done There are not many games in the genre so try it out, even with all the flaws it can be good fun. I wish the game would be have been optimised a bit more. 100%-Achievement-Difficulty: Middle to Hard. You have to finish all stages in a row without falling off, although you can restart the current level from the beginning if you fall off. Still pretty hard, especially the last stage. The game lacks variety, with repetitive levels and uninspired gameplay. Controls are clunky, making it frustrating to progress. Overall, it feels dull and poorly designed, lacking the polish needed for an enjoyable experience.
Nice game
勉勉强强,有入库三要素,无中可玩,1内可考虑入库。chinese need.
💋
Extremely short indie-style game from back in the day, that has you traversing different cool-looking environments. The game is not difficult and there isn't much puzzle-solving but there's something charming and relaxing about it. That's where the game really shines, so I would recommend the game, if you're looking to just chill and take in the visually appealing environments, and also just the novelty of rolling around as a cool ball in the sky.
