Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is gorgeous. The fluidity creates a sense of calm.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
A mixture of puzzles that are either logical and satisfying, exceedingly obvious, or completely random. Many levels are about as reflex demanding as a waling sim, but once in a while they'll throw in a demanding precise platforming level. This kind of variety would probably be enjoyable if the level quality was consistently decent, but it's not. Some of the platforming is really fun, but even then it's always held back by a physics model that has a huge amount of momentum, making it very hard not to plummet to your death or at least have to restart your climb over and over. As for the puzzles at first they are fun, but after about 3-4 hours they devolve from "interesting" to "obvious but still hard because the game is glitchy and won't let you do what you are obviously supposed to do". I quit the game once I got to an area where some floor tiles would randomly not detect you were touching them, but would work the next time you started the game. This sounds like a puzzle, but it's not; the puzzle was making sure you touched every tile exactly once (this is the marble level, in case anybody's wondering). That said, I did have some real enjoyment before that point, and if on sale it's probably worth it if you like puzzle platformers with walking sim elements and aren't a Completionist.
bad
Niko: Through The Dream is an older game from 2015. It's a venerable 10 years old at the time of this review. It looks like an esoteric minimalist puzzler akin to games like Portal and Q.U.B.E but it's more of a platformer... so I'm told. Due to defects or just plain bad design, you can't reall get into the full game, instead you start up on an island, you can go into a temple with a plant in it, and onto another island where four little pedestals pop up if you go near them. That's all there is to the game now, apart from jumping off the edge, and even that doesn't end the pain as you restart the game and are stuck with the same simple environment with no way to unlock more gameplay. What a pointless exercise... did they not test the game to make sure the rest of it is accessible? From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. You can't set 4K resolution even if your monitor advertises it because the game weirdly assumes you're using a 16:10 monitor even if you're not... what a weird defect but again it's apparent the developer never tested the game before publishing it. The game features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. The lack of textures is a method that lazy devs often use to disguise their lack of talent/interest in doing the graphics properly and trying to disguise it under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It looks bad as a result of their decisions, and that's just another reason to avoid it. The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 110,000+ games on Steam? Niko: Through The Dream has the greedy, cash grab price of around $10 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. Yeah, ten bucks for a game that doesn't even work properly. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Bioshock Infinite", "Stellaris" or "Dishonored 2". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
