Looks like a quick whipped up cobbled together game. The player character behaves like a ball, but instantly stops once you let go of the movement. When trying to turn yourself around, this is very jarring. I need let go then move again to turn around instantly. If I did this like any other 3D game, momentum isn't preserved in the direction I was going but rather the direction I want to go.
this game has a beautiful soundtrack, lovely visuals, and charming storytelling. the movement is a little slippery, which i think adds reasonable challenge to the levels. loving the different outfits and wands from each world. so cute!
Quick Review
"Newt One" is a small and cute adventure/platforming gaming with pretty simple mechanics and a pretty family friendly feeling overall, giving the players a short story to discover as they play. (Playthrough/Gameplay of the game) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vIGZPDcYFQ If this quick review isn't useful to you maybe the following "extended version" could help ^^
The good

Simple but interesting gameplay mechanics
Great and original visuals
Each levels offers some replay value if you want to get the 100% of them.

The bad

Music loops can feel sometimes repetitive.
Some times controls feel a little bit unresponsive.

Things that might help you decide

Family friendly game.
Short game that can be completed in a few hours.
Low Spec friendly game.

Final recommendation / Price evaluation
I really liked the game and I feel that it is an easy recommendation for those looking for a family friendly platforming game, for everyone else I'd say that buying it at 5€ would be my recommendation. I hope this review is useful to you ^^. If you want to support me remember to check out the videos linked in the review, like and subscribe. Have fun playing ^^

So I previously Platinumed this game on PlayStation and have been following the games development a bit beforehand. I had a vague idea of what this game was going to be like before I started playing it. The game is a 3D platformer at its very core. You can float, jump and glide through hexagonal levels with the occasional button press for certain items. Controls do feel dated and floaty. There is also a lack of controller support so be warned. The game doesn't offer a lot of varied content but thrives in delivering an incredibly chill and worry free experience. The game has a Neon drenched world made up of hexagonal environments that are reminiscent of Tron or Electroplankton. The point of the game is to bring life to dead colorless worlds using your staff and drums. The game is around 2-3 hours long and includes a few different worlds with a couple of levels in them. that mostly just change the color palette of the environment. The game never does anything more than offer basic hexagonal environment with a little bit of foliage. The game is incredibly cheap price wise and has colorful visuals and relaxing music that are dynamic and open up the more you explore the levels. If you have a couple dollars to spare I would definitely recommend buying this game even it is a simple game. Turning a bland environment with mute colors into a fantastic and colorful wonderland is a simple joy that will keep you playing.
An intensely boring platformer, obviously intended for small children, but too badly designed even for them. The gameplay is too complex and skill-based for a child, yet nowhere near challenging enough for an adult to enjoy. The sound is the best part - the gameplay is meshed with the audio in that certain actions will result in changes in the soundtrack, which is well executed and satisfying. Perhaps valuable as a wind-down activity, but only because it is so thoroughly unstimulating.
Really wholesome game - relaxing and easy to understand. The colorful world makes it pleasant to play. I would say tho that the controller doesn't seem to work, however the keyboard works perfectly.
This game has a dedicated "get unstuck from the scenery" key. And why bother animating the main character when they can just float (even though her feet touch the ground). It plays like a half-arsed, early access attempt at a de Blob clone. So why the positive review? I completed the first level and I was going to hop on here and leave a scathing review. I completed the second - and kill me now - but I actually found myself enjoying it. There's a primal satisfaction to colouring in. Wait for a deep, DEEP sale...but it may be worth your time.
不像2019年的遊戲,操作手感真的很差,玩起來蠻痛苦的平台跳躍動作遊戲,裡面最大優點大概是BGM好聽。
Unless you are below the age of nine or need help with the concept of colors, this probably isn't the game for you. I've only played nineteen minutes though, maybe it turns into a rich, intense multi-layered gaming experience after level 5 EDIT: It does not
Can't look down.
