Pleeeeaaaase fix the controls. I was so getting into it but my controller seems to have incompatibility issues with the button inputs. Please add support for Playstation controllers. Or maybe... if I find this game on the Playstation... I shall work with that instead. You got me invested with the story. I can't recommend it if the controls aren't working for me.
Really bad game mechanics, I had to play this game for my Native American Art History class and this has got to be the worst game experience of my life. I get having a coop game but ♥♥♥♥ the ai doesn't know what it's doing half the time so if you play by yourself you repeatedly have to swap characters in areas that if you stay still in you die. DO NOT BUY.

Sadly I can't recommend this game for solo play. I haven't played it with someone else so I can't say anything about that. I keep having issues with the game giving me control over both characters at once instead of only one character. You should be able to switch between characters, the character you're not playing being controlled by the game. When I get control of both characters the game is unplayable because one of them will easily fall to their death of drown. A hard quit out of the game and restarting will solve the issue for a little while so I tried to power through it. After having to hard quit for the 3rd time at the same point I gave up. It's just not playable for me. As this is not a new game I don't think they'll ever be able to fix this issue. I'm sad that I could't play the rest of the game as it looks really nice, the characters are cute and the story is interesting.
En anglais : "Never Alone" provides an immersive dive into Iñupiaq culture, delivering a beautiful and educational gaming experience. The visuals are breathtaking, capturing the Arctic landscapes of Alaska with remarkable precision. The storytelling is poignant, woven through Iñupiaq legends, adding emotional depth to the narrative. The gameplay, centered around cooperation between Nuna (a young girl) and an Arctic fox, offers challenging puzzles and engaging exploration. Traditional Iñupiaq music accompanies the player, enhancing cultural immersion. However, some minor technical issues may occasionally affect the experience. Despite this, "Never Alone" remains an extraordinary game that successfully blends entertainment and education in a seamless manner.
Contols in this game are made with the sole purpose of annoying the player and testing their patience.
I didn't like the controls - the reaction to press was slow and laggy. The plot is also not really interesting.
A kind of plain platformer but really shines due to the cultural focus it has on native tribes of Alaska. The platforming is mostly alright and, unless you have a co-op partner, has you controlling two characters. Though the AI will take control of one to follow you, you must switch between the two to overcome obstacles. The AI does it’s best but there are moments it kind of freaks out and can even cause the character to die due to poor pathing. Which leads to the sincerely awful noises the surviving character makes when the human character dies. It’s just a bit too high pitched and whiney. Though the gameplay is nothing special, the focus on the native tribes’ mythology for the story and the rewards of documentary videos really gives the game it’s charm. Despite the game using subtitles for the narrator, it really needs it for the actual documentaries as I often had trouble hearing the people talk.
One of the worst games I've ever played, so far. Has zero value except for telling some small local legend. There are many and many of these in any nation's folklore, and even though it's nice to "play" one of them, it was truly one of the most frustrating platforming experiences I ever had in my life. It was fist-clinchingly annoying at some points. I've played it solo. Companion has no AI at all and tends to un-alive itself quite often and refuse to jump by its own into the right place to activate script to proceed forward in one place and proactive act in another. There is no clear indicator for a blizzard, which makes some fragments overfly frustrating as you jump on one place and just fall down and die as wind pushes you back. Also, there is a very "fun" moment where you need to aim with this clunky mess of a weapon while wind tosses you back and forth. Character feels clunky; weapon controls are awful. It is not worth $15, nor is it worth your time. I can't see co-op experience improving it in any meaningful way. There are simply way better games if you want to enjoy co-op, for example.
