i got this game on sale and if you think of it as a ps3 era game it's not that bad (even if it's not).
Pick it up if it's on sale, but it's very much not worth 40 bucks. The movement and combat feel good to me, but the grappler likes to get me stuck on walls. I have to exit out of the mission and reload the latest checkpoint. Also I hope you like repeated voice lines, I feel like each combat NPC only has 2 lines that they can repeat.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This review is important because it should be a guide for how this game is only for a certain type of player. No shade or insults, we all play games with different expectations. First off I got this game very cheap, thank goodness for that. Secondly its important to know that as I have gotten older I have become less exacting about what I want in certain types of games. For this particular one all I needed was a fun place to run and gun in the 40K universe, with just some basic mechanics and gunplay. Since I gave it a thumbs down its fair to say those things were not met. What the game does offer and who I think will enjoy it. There is some turn your brain off run around fast and shoot things fun. You have a dog that just appears in front of you with a button press and it does kill bad guys for you. You can run on walls and fall without fear of dying, and the guns feel okay. There is also tons of ammo so no worries there. If you want to play in the 40k universe and just run around killing things for 10-15 hours, AND YOU GET THIS GAME ON A GOOD SALE, then by all means do it. But... If you need to be immersed at all in the world by things at least making some sense then please do not buy this game. For example, and as other reviewers said (I wish I listened), enemies spawn literally out of thin air. The only requirement is that you are not looking in that area. If you run towards the back of a room and kill everyone then turn around expecting your 6 to be covered, you are mistaken. Bad guys by the half dozen just appear out of nowhere right behind you, no BS. Also your dog and really anything else just appears out of thin air. Now the dog thing isnt too bad, but its right in front of you that it happens. The story is terrible and I have no idea what happened to finish chapter one. My laptop was average like a year ago so I cant speak to the games graphics, but they will probably be fine on good machines. If you have any expectations do not buy this game, we need to show companies that make slop like this that it is not okay.
yes lets add a grapple gun but make the walls easily clippable so you get stuck in them often.
Before I start this review, I just like to point out that I was having higher expectations for this game. Streum On Studio made Eye Divine Cybermancy, which was an awesome RPG shooter, but a bit clunky, and Space Hulk Deathwing, which was a decent Space Marine Terminator simulator, although that game too was clunky. After years of developing games, you think that they would get better and release a somewhat decent Warhammer 40k game, which to my surprise, wasn't about space marines but it was about gangs under the hive city of Necromunda... Yeah, no Where do I start with this game? Well the visuals are... decent. I mean I know this is supposed to take place underneath the hive city, but it doesn't really feel like it. It feels like the level design is a mish mash of sewer levels mixed with some factory theme to it. I know this game is supposed to take place under the hive city, but the level design is not that impressive. The voice acting is really budget level. How is it possible that Games Workshop licenses these people to make warhammer games, but they can't hire a decent voice actor, they all have this bland, obvious reading through script dialogue, it's like watching a budget movie. Oh yeah the story... it's... just there. I didn't even care that much, it didn't really even made me invested into the whole hive world gang thing. There was only one cool level with genestealer cults, but it's only briefly introduced and never again. But probably the greatest criticism is the gameplay. For the current price, you expect to have at least somewhat of a decent shooter but let me tell you, when you have other shooters like Doom 2016 or Borderlands 2... there is little reason to pay attention to this game. Even if you are a Warhammer 40k fan like myself, I cannot recommend this game. The guns feel off, play Borderlands 2 which came a decade before this game, and then play this game and you will see what I mean. The enemy AI is incredibly stupid, iI've seen better behaving AI in Half Life 1. The AI runs around, with no strategy to pin you down, they get stuck between the openings, and some like to teleport around just to waste more of your time. The Bosses are just bullet sponges, no special strategies. I tend to compare this game to borderlands because it is a looter shooter so to say... but a very basic looter shooter. Yeah there aren't that many weapons, and their "upgrades" are generic "Blue" "Purple" "Orange" upgrades. Seriously if you are going to make this game a looter shooter, at least make a wide variety of weapons with stats. The main campaign is around 8 hours long. For this current price, that is absolutely abysmal. 40$ for a Call of Duty length campaign, with mediocre gameplay and boring story? No thanks. Clunky and unpolished. Instead, if you want a better shooter that's Warhammer 40k themed, play Boltgun. It's better made, more challenging, more fun and more intense. This game is as intense as my trip to the bathroom. Not recommended.
This is an FPS. I play on Hard and dying is part of the game. I like the prospect of being a nimble cyborg mercenary in the Underhive of Necromunda and I like fps like Doom so this has been a fun pickup.
This game is pretty much DOOM 2016 or ETERNAL, with a different story, but with very similar gameplay. Fast pace, that can be overwhelming at the beginning, but if you figure it out its mechanics, and do the right upgrades, you will feel very OP. GAMEPLAY 9/10 OPTIMIZATION 10/10 STORY 7/10 GRAPHICS 8/10 OVERAL 8.5/10
Back when Streums debuted with EYE Divine Cybermancy everyone said it was secretly a Warhammer 40k game, now I say, this Warhammer 40k game of theirs is secretly EYE Divine Cybermancy. You may be thinking this is an AA or more conventional AA sort of shooter with the amount of glazing Focus Entertainment gave to this one's trailers and Steam storefront. But no, this is in fact a classic Streum On jankfest with trendy conventional ideas thrown in. To start with the ugly, it's buggy, lacking in streamlining and featuring a story that's just an excuse plot. I had some crashes when accessing upgrade UIs, at one point I had no UI displaying in a middle of intense fight, and there's just general lack of polish to it all so I am not exaggerating when I say it's rough. Also a lot of ideas like depth of customisation with skins and all feels like it was done for a different game, like something with online co-op or multiplayer combat, not a ten hour long linear shooter, but it was all downscaled into what it is. Weird feeling, that. Anyways, the good stuff? Necromunda is a WH40k spinoff of sorts, right? Focused on Necromunda the Hive City planet that got the groddiest underhives full of mutants and all. Just, imagine a super mega city that's layers upon layers of civilization, so massive and labyrinthine you never see sky, most denizens of this billions sized hive don't. This game portrays that perfectly, the scale of all the levels is inhumane and cavernous, and there's real nice Warhammer 40k flair all over the place, the world looks plain awesome. The visual effects like gunfire, energy blasts and gore are also top notch. The guns you get are pretty varied too, although I won't lie they aren't as balanced in their power, but there's plenty of strong fun ones. Seriously though, this is secretly EYE 2. The ability wheel and the weird optional play revisiting locales tacked on to grind more upgrades? Going trough cool large maps for loose plot reasons that don't matter? Game throwing crowds of enemies at you while your screen is being overwhelmed by own gunfire and critical hit notifications? It's all here! If you feel like revisiting that experience, the game is right here, only thing missing is infinite circles of guilt.
This Game was a chore. Quests were boring. Side jobs are really dumb. Story makes no sense. Psykers left and right with no backlash or demon presence. Nobody cares that there's a huge Genestealer Tyranid infestation deep under the Underhive. INCLUDING AN INQUISITOR! The last boss got psyker powers by...bloodborning a blue vial? Afterwards kept on shooting me with a full auto plasma gun that doesn't generate radioactive death waves...It feels like this game should take at least 5 more years in development and it should've been an RPG...Not a shooter. I didn't even play the og necromunda TTRPG and it feels like this game should not be a shooter...
