Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Average NBA 2K game, enjoyable for about 50 hours just like every other 2K game. Fun to play park with friends but gets old after a while. 6/10

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

well First of all, the graphics are great (my pc barely runs them), Second of all, the gameplay is way better compared to 2k23 or 2k24, and Finally I don't get why people hate on the shot meter, it's something different for once. OVR 7/10 the game is fun, but it does get dull after some time. <3

Their support is for sure employing kid from kindergarden. I sumbit request, they stop talking and responding a then write e-mail saying: we did not hear from you for while (even though the did) so it is marked as resolved. I wrote to support because game deleted my gameplay saves and even though I use cloud storage, it is not there. For 70 Eur game re-released every year I expect more!

If you've played the NBA2K series which I have the past few years, You'll find that it's basically the same game every year with slightly different facelifts. The general consensus is that the offline modes are pretty good and you can get the ideal gaming experience adjusting the difficulty faders to a custom setting. What is far less good is all the other experiences that include My Career, Online Play with other players and basically anything that involves virtual currency or VC. The Career Mode is what I want to focus on. You create a player, he gets drafted to a team of your choosing mid 1st round, he may have some rival that gets drafted ahead of him and there's some story thrown in that's about as well developed as something you'd do as an assignment in 5th grade creative writing. But nobody cares about that right? Everyone cares about the VC being used to improve player's stats, get different clothes or custom tattoos where you can spell out cuss words or racial slurs so you can be the coolest edgelord in online mode. So how do you get that VC? You have 2 options: 1. Grind every season and playoff game with your avatar forever until you get to the ideal build which by then it won't matter because everybody will be playing the next NBA2K game OR... 2. Macrotransactions or buying VC with about as much money if not more than you paid for the game. Yes, I know the term is usually "micro" not "macro" but there's nothing micro about how much 2K wants you to spend to get a functional avatar. I chose the 1st option because I'm a sick weirdo that enjoys grindy activities and I'm also cheap. Grinding to improve my avatar, I found that "Rookie" mode was annoyingly easy as was "Pro" mode but when I got to "All-star" mode, it became really difficult but not in a good way. It would be one thing if it was because the computer made smarter decisions but it had more to do with my teammates forgetting how to play basketball which led me to start having to go Iso ball which led to the lay up or dunk animations just not working in my favor even if I pressed all of the correct button combinations. Scoring 40-50 points in a game doesn't even guarantee your team will win because your drooling moron teammates forget how to defend and the CPU starts hitting 80% of their 3-point shots. At this point, you'll likely go back to Pro Mode but everything feels hollow when you go 82-0 and average early 60's Wilt Chamberlain numbers or at least the year he averaged 50 points per game. The shooting mechanics are one of the most frustrating mechanisms in this game. If you're in a Catholic sect where self-flagellation is considered a holy experience, then attempting to perfect perimeter or 3-point shooting in this game is akin to meeting God. Even if you get the timings right, there's no defenders near you and you have a decent rating, you just don't know for sure if it's going in. I've tried not watching the meter and instead the animations. I've made sure the feet are pointed a certain way. The arms are arched a certain way. The face is at full derp mode. No matter what, it's all variable. Therefore, you're limited to layups and dunks depending on your player's height. Playing against other players is also annoying and horrible. The framerates drop dramatically during games against online opponents. This makes the already sketchy shooting mechanics even worse unless you're able to cheat by playing a modded version of the game. Also, there's a good chance if you play anything beyond 1v1, your teammates are going to be ball hogs that don't understand the team aspect of team sports (seriously, pass and set picks) or they're going to be some sort of edgelords trying to look like Edward Norton from American History X. So why even bother wasting your time? I guess because I like video games and I like basketball so why not combine the 2? Even if this is the only option? Well, sometimes Steam has a deep discount where you can buy this game for $15 which is not bad at all compared to the normal $70 price tag this game has. If you get it on discount, it goes from being a mediocre at best experience to pretty good especially if you stay in offline mode. The game does offer eras which is kind of nice to go back in time and play in the 80's or 90's. They also have WNBA rosters as well since more people have started caring about that recently. Overall, I recommend it but only if you get it on a deep discount. I will likely copy and paste this review for the next game to show my appreciation for how 2K games copy and pastes NBA2K each subsequent year but with updated rosters.
only worth buying on sale, otherwise this game is trash
Somewhere, between the mess of advertising and paywalls for progression which you will never escape, is a good basketball simulation. Message for 2k: I/We will ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pay you to not have to deal with it anymore. Signed: MeatMountain
