Nancy Drew®: Tomb of the Lost Queen

I was an egyptology kid, I will admit, so of course I was interested when I found a Nancy Drew game about the tomb of Nerfertari. The graphics felt slightly off but that is probably because I'm more used to the less bright ND games. However. This game is [i] very [/i] easy to bug. I'm not even quite sure how I did it. I sent away one of the NPCS to snoop, and they simply never came back, so I couldn't interact with them and progress the game. I had to restart my entire playthrough and was very much less happy about it, I don't think I can even remember the ending because I was too stressed about not softlocking the game again. However, when not softlocking yourself into a corner and crying about it, this game was quite enjoyable! I liked a lot of the puzzles and I loved the lore and to explore the tomb. 10/10 would slap Abdullah Bakhoum again.

This is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games, and it makes me want to go to the museum to check out the Egyptian exhibition again. I didn't know until I was reading someone's playthrough of this game that, there are parts of the story you can miss. At one point in the game, I had the chance to learn something about one of the characters, but missed the chance befoire progressing the game. For other Nancy games, usually they don't allow you to progress the story until you discover those facts about the character. It's not a criticisim on the game (because a lot of games are like that as well), I just feel like it's a shame I didn't get to see it when I was playing the game.

I enjoyed it, and I didn't need a walkthrough until the end. The story was interesting, though I was expecting a couple of things to happen that didn't (and should have, imo). The map, characters, and puzzles were interesting. Only one puzzle that made zero sense, even after looking it up, but, thankfully, you can guess your way through if you want. 7/10
