Mystery Island - Hidden Object Games

its a fun game but it has its quirks too. I guess it doesn't SAVE right. if I exit the game it doesn't return to where I left off. I've re-started the game several times now and it happened every time. Restarts at different spots though. How do you select the save spot manually, or turn on the autosave??

although this is a 'nice' hidden object game it gets very frustrating because you never get anywhere! Finding you have to play scenes over and over again and search for the same items too. I wondered if it just wasn't saving my games. So in the end, I don't want to play it any more because you never get to the end of the story!!! Agggh so frustrating!!

It's an ok HOG only game with only one major bug I could find... So, the story is a bit convoluted, and it's mostly conveyed with a bit of text story and dialogue between characters. Something about different timelines, ancient alien symbols, in a mix and mash of things I couldn't fully understand. You and your team/family has to find all of these symbols in different timelines to input all of it into an ancient alien time machine of sorts of stabilize all the timlines. Anyways, back to mechanics. This is a HOG only game, no puzzles, no other mechanics. You basically have to find a whole bunch of items in a given scenario. The difference between this game and the better known Artifex Mundi games for instance, is that you have a 360 look on scene. Lots of people might not like this, because the objects are not contained in a single scene, you have to keep looking around to find them. There are three variants for the hidden object scenes - the prevalent one is the classic word matching, there are also a few object matching, and a few find two copies of the same object. There's a scene that appears after playing the game a bit in which you have to match masks... for whatever reason I completed this part some 3 times with the last object not triggering the end sequence for the scene. On the 4th time I played the whole scene I left the main object, a red-ish mask, to find last, and then it triggered the end sequence. Anyways, it's somewhat on the same level of the earliest HOG games... I still found it plenty enjoyable.
