Mystery Case Files®: 13th Skull™ Collector's Edition

Oh, the good old-school days are back… It’s not an exceptional game — being dated, it lacks the modern QOL features we’re used to, like fast travel or an interactive map. The constant backtracking can be a bit of a pain. But still… it’s challenging in that special way only older games manage to be. You actually feel smart when you solve something — and that’s priceless. It was also really nice to revisit and appreciate the kind of innovation games like this brought back in the day. A solid 6.5/10, for this little historical gem.

Класний дух провінційного містечка Луїзіани, цікаві колоритні персонажі, несподіваний сюжетний поворот, таємнича атмосфера, піратські скарби, чудовий аудіо супровід. Під час гри відчувається прохолода дощу і сирість місцевих боліт. Деякі головоломки змусили добряче над ними попрацювати. А ще мені дуже закортіло спробувати суп гамбо!

I love this game, I've played it through about five times now. It has classic hidden object screens and puzzles that are just challenging enough to be fun without being painful. Also, one of the things that brings me the most joy in this game is the Full Motion Video; all of the characters are played by actors who really give it their all. Super fun!

I thought this would be fun, just like their old games. The instructions are very vague or hardly have instructions. Got me sitting here stressing out for nothing. Had to go youtube and google for the walkthrough and guide. Some of the puzzles are difficult to solve. This is not just another seek and find game, this requires you to solve puzzles. If you love solving puzzles that cracks your brain, this is a great one. I think this game has a bug or something, when I click the hint, the pop up appear but got cut off at the side of the screen and no words. I didnt manage to collect all the insignia gold cards once I finished the objectives and gone to the bonus part. Rating: 5/10

Non sono così entusiasta di questo gioco come la maggor parte dei commenti che vedo. Premetto che gioco questo genere di avventure da diversi anni e ho una certa dimestichezza in materia. L'ambientazione è effettivamente ben strutturata, i personaggi sono resi bene e le animazioni con filmati di attori veri fanno il loro effetto. Purtroppo è l'interfaccia utente ad essere fallace, Già il fatto che si usa la stessa forma del cursore per visualizza o per interagire causa non poca confusione. Le scede di oggetti nascosti sono un vero incubo, dato che spesso gli oggetti da trovare sono in ombra o dietro ad altri oggetti. Inoltre, il sistema di aiuti è quanto di più osceno mai visto. Spesso è totalmente inutile, non dà indizi o li dà in maniera confusa. La mappa poi è totalmente inutile, dato che non mostra né dove siete, né dive si trovano le locazioni utili. Sinceramente non trovo motivazioni valide per il suo acquisto.
