A very fun and cosy game. I find it's a lovely wind down game before I'm going to bed. The story and characters are engaging, the art style is wonderful and cute, the music is great and evolves as you progress the plot, adding that characters instrument to the score. The potion crafting isn't too difficult and feels good to do well and create high quality potions. Combat is well balanced, you need a bit of strategy and thinking to deal with some encounters. There are some challenging fights but they are all fun to overcome. You can feel that this game is made with an incredible amount of love and care! if you want a taste of the game, there is a demo, please play it and please buy it!
This game is really cute, stress free and easy to understand. The characters are fun and don't feel dull at all, despite being a bit cliche. I really love that your own character isn't that mindless, mute person we all know from other games, but has their own personality that maybe sometimes gets their priorities wrong. The potion making is a bit repetitive, but that doesn't really bother me. It's not a game you play for 8 hours straight every day, but I can definitely see myself playing it again and again. The difficulty level is just right. Either you rush through the story and make it hard on yourself, or you take the time to fight some spots 2 or 3 times, collect stuff and make more potions. Preparation is everything! I almost overlooked the bounty board at first, but it's a great way to earn some extra money while you're gathering ingredients anyway!

A wonderful cozy game that needs more people playing it! Slowly gather up a party as you adventure through the land, crafting potions and slaying monsters along the way. Combat involves selecting party members and potions to take into battle, and using the potions when appropriate. Characters and enemies have elemental damage, so you're usually trying to pick what enemies are weak to. At levels 10 and 20 characters get a bigger boost that adds additional factors. Defeating enemies gets you gold and potion ingredients. Crafting potions involves having enough ingredients and tracing designs - very good tracing will get you a high quality potion, but trace too badly and the potion won't get made at all. As you progress, the game adds modifiers to the tracing, such as the design disappearing or being obstructed. There are difficulty levels in the settings menu if you become frustrated by the modifiers. The story and characters are very cute and cozy. I love the dialogue and art design. There is a fun little card minigame in towns. Some things that could be improved: If you need a lot of potion ingredients, there isn't a quick way to select a lot. You can click rapidly to pick up multiple of an item at once, but some potions have 10 ingredients and if I want to make 10 of that potion, that's 100 clicks. You move somewhat slowly on the world map, and I tended to get caught on things while looking for secrets. You DO get to teleport between towns eventually so that helps somewhat. The game gets a bit grindy about halfway through, but I was playing on hard difficulty, so it might be less grindy on easier difficulties. Also, I beta tested the game and my name is in the credits! :D
My Party Needs An Alchemist is a fun lighthearted game with an enjoyable potion making system and a good story to tell! I spent several hours playing the demo and have had a wonderful time playing the actual game. At only three hours in I can most certainly recommend the game even at full price. 10/10 will support the developer again. PS: the hat options are great!
A cute and cozy approach on being the party alchemist, just without the major stress of RPG party management, grind, and not using your shampoo and conditioner to make useful potions. My Party Needs An Alchemist, uses a simple autobattler formula with brewing components similar to Potioncraft to make a really simple, but creative way to make potions and manage your growing party. A great cozy option to those who love crafting elixirs from Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom or enjoy gathering materials to make their own consumables and items in RPGs/MMOs, just without the tiring grind, complicated recipes and RNG. +PROS: +Super cozy, very cute artstyle +Autobattler gameplay with creative brew mechanic, just get materials, add to cauldron, draw pattern to mix and if you nail the perfect line, tada, high quality potion +Simple gameplay but can be made completely story, easier or harder difficulty at any given point +More advanced accessibility options to tailor gameplay needs +Materials and money are easily gained, so barely to no grinding needed to get what you need +Cosmetic shop, and semi customizable avatar +Text and combat speeds are adjustable to tailor comfort +Lovely music and party members have different musical scores -CONS: -Repetitive gameplay loop may not appeal to those looking for something more in depth -Pattern drawing may be difficult for those who have hand tremors/shakes/unstable hands (there is a click option so you don't have to press and hold to draw) -Can be short if you breeze through it -Progression and additional development of the game will take some time due to less time being able to dedicate to doing, so some planned Kickstarter functions may or may not be added -Wording of "falling in love with your 9 companions"does not mean romance options, and no active romance planned for those who are looking for that kind of option
adorable artstyle and truly funny dialogues (!) the game is deceptively challenging, there's a lot of problem solving involved i have not cleared yet because one boss is really kicking my ass! all in all, a great product that deserves way more visibility
The concept is nice but honestly I find it too repetitive and boring. It's quite grindy and unforgiving.
Woke, short but not terrible. It's a very beautiful game you can play for about 4 hours. Nothing about it really stands out in one way or another. The story is very generic but quite quirky and fun. If you like these turnbased games I would not shy away from it.
This game is adorable! My bf got it for me the day it came out. It has been sitting in my wish list for a while. I played the demo a while back and immediately fell IN LOVE. I need the hell hound Immediately!
Very beautiful and relaxing game ! You will love brewing the best potions for your party and help them win the toughest battles. There is a lot of different ways to play. You can either rush through the main story and deal with difficulty, or take more time to gain XP and progress at your own pace... If you like cozy adventure games, you should definitely try My Party Needs An Alchemist !
