There are some games that win awards, some that earn hundreds of millions of dollars, but some are above that. My Best Friends - Cats & Dogs is groundbreaking, with earth shattering graphics that will run on anything. The graphics and depth to the lore have never been seen before. Sometimes I ponder the true peak of mankind, but I hadn't believed we reached it until I played My Best Friends - Cats & Dogs. My third eye has been opened by this game, exposing the true potential of the human spirit. My Best Friends - Cats & Dogs is better than any other game I have played. My Best Friends - Cats & Dogs' graphics are so intense, you walk into a new stellar world that has never been seen before by any other game, the immersion is intense and I cannot recommend more. Some reviews give 10/10, maybe 11/10 I give My Best Friends - Cats & Dogs a 7/10
It's not a good game. Don't get this one for your kids.
My Best Friends – Cats & Dogs, developed by Sproing and published by familyplay, is a virtual pet simulation built around the simple idea of caring for and bonding with cats and dogs in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. It draws heavily from classic pet-raising games, offering players the chance to adopt animals, tend to their needs, and spend time interacting with them through a variety of small activities. While the premise is naturally appealing—especially for animal lovers—the game ultimately delivers a fairly basic experience that struggles to grow beyond its initial concept. The core gameplay revolves around meeting the daily needs of your pets. Feeding, grooming, cleaning, and playing with them form the foundation of the experience, all presented through straightforward interactions that are easy to learn. Early on, this loop is satisfying in its simplicity, creating a sense of routine and responsibility that aligns well with the theme of pet care. The inclusion of different breeds adds some variety, giving players a sense of choice and personalization when selecting their companions. In addition to basic care, the game includes mini-games and training activities that are meant to deepen the interaction between player and pet. These tasks provide small moments of variety, allowing players to engage in playful or skill-based challenges. However, these features remain relatively shallow and do not evolve significantly over time. The activities tend to repeat frequently, and the lack of new mechanics or increasing complexity means that the experience can begin to feel predictable after only a short period. A key aspect of any pet simulation is the sense of connection between player and animal, and this is where the game feels limited. While the pets respond to basic actions, their behavior lacks the depth and variation needed to create a strong emotional bond. Interactions often feel scripted or repetitive, reducing the feeling of raising a unique companion. As a result, the experience leans more toward completing tasks than forming a meaningful relationship. Visually, the game shows its age quite clearly. The models for both animals and environments are simple, and animations can appear stiff or lacking in detail. While everything is functional and easy to understand, the presentation does little to enhance immersion. The overall aesthetic is serviceable but lacks the charm or polish that might make the world feel more alive. The pacing of the game is slow and consistent, with each session following a similar pattern of care and interaction. This can be relaxing for players who enjoy routine-driven gameplay, but it also highlights the lack of progression. The game introduces few new elements as it continues, making it difficult to maintain long-term engagement. What begins as a calm and approachable experience can gradually feel repetitive and limited. Despite these shortcomings, the game does have a certain appeal for a specific audience. Its simplicity makes it accessible to younger players or those looking for a very casual experience that does not require much time or effort to understand. The act of caring for virtual pets, even in a basic form, can still be enjoyable in short sessions, particularly for those who value ease of play over complexity. Ultimately, My Best Friends – Cats & Dogs offers a straightforward interpretation of the pet simulation genre. It succeeds in providing a simple and accessible experience, but its lack of depth, repetitive gameplay, and dated presentation prevent it from standing out. While it may serve as a light introduction to the genre, it falls short of delivering the variety and emotional engagement that define more memorable pet simulators. Rating: 6/10
2/10 - It's boring, slow and repetitive!
I love it!
https://youtu.be/P9LLML3-x1Q Have a pet and a best friend sound likes a perfect match, however in this game your best friend only exists to fill your afternoons with busy work. Select from a variety of differently skinned but identically modeled cats & dogs to take care for in this big scale tamagotchi style game. Interactions are very limited and quickly repetitively, and not representative of pet ownership mainly due to the fact it's not necessary to feed your pet more than once or twice a week.
