Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The story wasn't very interesting, but I loved the different levels/scenes and linking the clues to each other. The gameplay is what made this game for me and I could keep doing it endlessly. Choices didn't seem to matter much and I felt like one of my choices was straight up ignored and the game picked the other option afterwards. The scenes looked very pretty but I felt the art style for the characters was a little off and unfitting. A short game which I enjoyed my time with.

Detektywistyczna porażka i gamingowa nuda.
It's a pretty decent detective/mystery game. Connecting all the gathered evidence is pretty satisfying and the cases are often times pretty straight forward. More polish could have definitely improved the feel of the game, but it's not as terrible as many of the negative reviews suggest. It's a shame, as I would have played a second season of this. Definitely check this out if you are a fan of mystery games, especially when it's on sale.
Murder Mystery Machine, developed by Blazing Griffin and published by Microids, is a detective game that places players in the shoes of rookie agent Cassandra Clarke as she begins her career with the District Crime Agency. Paired with her more experienced and world-weary partner Nate Huston, she is quickly drawn into the investigation of a murdered politician. What starts as a seemingly isolated case gradually unfolds into a broader conspiracy, with each chapter revealing deeper layers of corruption and deceit. The game positions itself as a narrative-driven puzzle experience, blending crime-scene exploration with deduction mechanics in a way that tries to make the player feel like a genuine investigator rather than a passive observer. The heart of the experience lies in the combination of diorama-style environments and the unique deduction board system. Each crime scene is presented as a carefully detailed space that players can rotate and study from multiple angles, peeling away walls to uncover hidden items or new vantage points. Evidence is collected through searching these areas and interviewing suspects and witnesses, and everything discovered is then placed onto a virtual board. Here, the player links pieces of evidence, testimonies, and suspects together, creating logical connections that advance the case. It is an elegant concept that turns investigation into an active puzzle, forcing players to think about how information interrelates rather than simply choosing dialogue options until the story moves forward. While this system provides a satisfying sense of agency, it is not without its drawbacks. The deduction board can become cluttered and slow to navigate, particularly in later cases when dozens of clues are in play at once. On platforms without touchscreen controls, managing the board with a controller or mouse can feel sluggish and imprecise. This clunkiness sometimes breaks the flow of deduction, making the experience more about fighting the interface than solving the mystery. Additionally, the game occasionally relies too heavily on trial and error—logical connections that seem valid may not register as correct, forcing the player to shuffle links until the right combination is found. This can undermine the sense of being a clever detective, especially when progression stalls until the system accepts an answer. Visually, Murder Mystery Machine is atmospheric without being overly flashy. Its diorama presentation is effective at creating intimate crime scenes that feel grounded in detail, from cluttered offices to dimly lit back alleys. Rotating the camera to explore from new perspectives often reveals hidden information and contributes to the investigative tone. The characters and environments are functional rather than striking, with simple models and muted textures that sometimes betray the game’s smaller budget. Sound design is similarly restrained, providing ambient effects and subtle musical cues that set the mood without standing out. The lack of voice acting is noticeable, particularly given the amount of dialogue, and while the written script conveys the story competently, spoken performances might have added more weight to the drama. The narrative is delivered across eight episodic cases that tie into an overarching storyline. Early cases introduce Cass and Nate’s partnership and establish the framework of their world, while later cases escalate the stakes and broaden the scope of the conspiracy. The relationship between Cass and Nate adds an emotional layer, as Nate’s cynicism often clashes with Cass’s determination and idealism. At times this dynamic works well, creating tension and growth, though there are moments when the writing veers into uneven territory, with abrupt tonal shifts that don’t always land. Still, the story remains engaging enough to carry players through, offering moral gray areas and a sense that justice is not always straightforward. The pacing of the game is deliberate, leaning more toward methodical investigation than fast-paced action. This will appeal to players who enjoy carefully piecing together information but may frustrate those looking for more immediate excitement. Each case can take anywhere from thirty minutes to over an hour depending on how thorough the player is, and the entire game lasts around five to eight hours. While the experience is compact, it feels complete, and there is some replay value in attempting to solve cases with fewer hints or in less time. Murder Mystery Machine succeeds most when it fully embraces its detective puzzle identity. The deduction board, though sometimes cumbersome, is a clever mechanic that sets it apart from other narrative-driven mysteries. The diorama crime scenes are engaging to explore, and the overarching conspiracy gives the episodic structure cohesion. However, its flaws—awkward controls, the absence of voice acting, occasional trial-and-error logic, and uneven writing—hold it back from achieving its full potential. For players who value the satisfaction of solving mysteries through careful reasoning and who have the patience to work through the slower pacing, it offers a thoughtful and rewarding experience. For others, it may feel like a promising concept that never fully evolves into greatness. Rating: 5/10
