For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
Experience the complexities and challenges of modern American leadership in this faithful digital adaptation of GMT Games’ acclaimed board game Mr. President: The American Presidency 2000-2020. Step into the Oval Office during two decades that transformed America and the world.
__BEFORE YOU BUY THIS GAME, PLEASE READ THE PINNED POST IN OUR FORUMS!__

Select your Cabinet and guide your administration through pivotal moments in recent history - as well as those that didn’t happen, but could have. What if the global financial crisis had happened earlier - or been even worse? What if violence in Central or South America escalated to create a cartel-dominated rogue state? What if outsourcing and automation, or an oil price spike, drove a domestic political crisis? Make the crucial decisions that will define - or tarnish - your presidential legacy.
Play any of the five historical scenarios as DLCs - one for each of the presidential terms from 2000 to 2020 - and see if you can do better than your historical counterpart. Can you pass Social Security reform in the early 2000s? Protect the world from a nuclear Iran or North Korea? Hammer out lasting immigration reforms? Or play the sandbox scenario, which represents the general trends of these two decades. In addition to dealing with diplomatic and domestic crises, you’ll nominate Supreme Court justices and shepherd their confirmation hearings; manage scandals; run your re-election campaign; work with Congress to pass your legislative agenda; and build a capable and effective Cabinet.
The digital version maintains everything that made the original board game compelling:
Over 150 different Crisis events, both historical and counterfactual
Specific action lists and agendas for America’s key allies and adversaries - no recycled gameplay that makes Israel and Canada seem the same except for the flag
Choose from a large menu of action choices at every turn - and agonize how to spend your limited action budget
Prioritize America’s strategic capabilities, from cyber warfare to space to intelligence gathering, always with an eye to America’s peer rivals Russia and China
But now you can focus purely on strategy, while the game handles all the administrative tasks that slowed down tabletop play.
Every table and action list you need is a mouse click away
Seamless board view that lets you slide effortlessly between the big picture and the crisis of the moment
Scenario setup in seconds
Whether you're a fan of the original board game or new to presidential politics, this digital adaptation offers the perfect blend of accessibility and depth. Make the hard choices. Shape history. Experience the presidency.

Peak strategy board game, very challenging Can't wait for the full release
As someone who bought the tabletop version of this with the first edition (and recently got my update kit), this is an excellent port. The play is basically identical, just easier, because you don't have to flip thrugh a pile of eight books to find the precise set of options for the situation you're facing. The UI could use a little tweaking in terms of making it more evident how to do some things, like move the screen around when faced with a decision - if you can't see what your situation is, it's much harder to make a decision that makes sense. And it is just a scurrilous rumour that I am giving it a good review because my very first game of this version has been going so incredibly well - my popularity is MAXED at 70%. And I've got a real chance of being awarded the Nobel for Peace. Seriously, though, I've really enjoyed it, and it's very much a "just one more turn" game - a page-turner, if it were a book. If you ever wanted to be Preznit, this is a good way to experience that. And it won't leave you ashy and grey after your two terms.

It's about being the President and dealing with world crisis, domestic crisis. But, this is a game right? this isn't fun at all. I'd actually rather be at my job than playing this game.
Fun, just remember it is based on a board game
Incredible game. Addicting and believable. You have tough decisions to make and you can’t fix everything. Though the game follows a typical world order path, all games play out differently. I highly recommend this one.
I could end all wars, solve world hunger, and give every American citizen a pony, and still lose 3 Public Approval slots because a crisis card came up or I got a bad dice roll. Maybe it's just not for me, but nothing about this feels fun. It feels specifically designed to raise my blood pressure and see just how far I let this exercise in futility go. Spend your 20 dollars on literally anything else. You want a good political game? Get The Political Machine 2024 or Democracy. But this? This sucks. A game like this shouldn't be in a board game format, and it really shows.
This is a fairly (see below) faithful digital representation of the board game. Unfortunately the game does kind of expect you to have played the board game and/or be pretty familiar with it. So everyone complaining about "what is this?" "you just roll dice?" have never played the board game and the digital game isn't doing a great job introducing them to it. But if you have played the board game and you enjoy it, you'll enjoy this game. It does a good job of getting you through turns, doing the rolls, and generally does a good job of showing you the impact of those roles. In the end - again, if you enjoy the board game, pick this up. You'll like it. All that said, it's not perfect. It is a complex board game and the digital game stumbles over a few things so you may hit some bugs. And there are some things missing at the time of writing (e.g., scenarios, a count of the remaining tension and terror group tokens). But the devs have been very responsive in fixing issues and they say they are working to implement scenarios. Now, if only I could keep Iran from nuking Israel...
Bei mir läuft beim Zocken i. d. Muss man mögen (Ich mag's).
It's an interesting concept, but it suffers from some fairly persistent bugs (For example once you assign a sea zone to support a war in another region, there isn't any way to re-orient it to support another region, even after the war in the first region is over), and the RNG nature of the game just makes it frustrating rather than challenging. Chains of bad RNG and bad crisis draws can absolutely destroy your run, with little or no means for you to actually influence them. Cannot recommend.
