Moss: The Forgotten Relic

Moss: The Forgotten Relic is such a remarkable game that embarks you into the realm of mistic adventure and puzzles. The games story is quite different from what I'm used to. I loved how the cut scenes were played as if the reader was reading a story comic book. The interactive page turning was something else, it added a 3rd world of wonder. The puzzles can at first be difficult but with time they get easier once you start to get the game play. The boss fights are not too challenging and enjoyable. My favorite one was the warden, I loved that game area. So key pointers to note: 1st the character jumping can be iffy at times and cause you to die if you don't get close enough to the edge before you jump, 2nd Switching between weapons while fighting can be difficult to do while evading enemies so be quick with it, 3rd do note that if you die while any talking is happening it will cut the scene short. Last thing I wish the game played more into was allowing the reader to see the stain glass windows while in reading mode. I only saw glimpses of them and never the entire piece. I wish the game was longer, at times i was making my way through a scene I already defeated or played through. Overall, a well put together game, voice actor was phenomenal, game design and graphics where wonderful and reminded me at time of "It Takes Two". I hope to play more from this company and can't wait to see what they come up with next.

It's a bit shame not to recommend the game because it is a cute little game that plays nice but it lacks skipping cutscenes which imo is a basic feature in any game, and the controls along with the locked camera make traversal a bit annoying. The egregious thing is the no death achievements that do not play nice with how easy to mess up the platforming because of the camera and the bugs that get you stuck requiring f4 to not void the achievement.

I was really hoping and wishing for a new story in VR with this title, it was sadly the first two books but on flatscreen (probably my bad for not doing my research) if you have a VR headset, i would without a shadow of doubt recommend buying it, i even sat in menu for 6 minutes just to get past the 5min review limit so i could recommend you the VR version!

10/10 adorable

I loved the connection and responses between the player and Quill. IT made game play so exciting and engaging. I do recommend this game and can not wait to see if there is more to the tale.
