Mordheim: City of the Damned is the first video game adaptation of Games Workshop's cult classic tabletop game Mordheim. Set in the Warhammer World's decimated Empire city, Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactical game where you lead warbands into bloody and lethal skirmishes.

Prices

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 13 → 2.5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I never thought I would become so emotionally attached to a gang of hideous anthropomorphic rats.
TLDR: I'll stick to the tabletop. The early game is absolutely horrendous and needlessly tedious for absolutely no reason. If you're hoping for an emulation of the tabletop, this gets close, but its also way too rigid and grindy. I didn't keep the game long enough to reach the end game. If you can grit your teeth and get through the early game suffering MAYBE this game would be good for you. I've heard many people losing their warbands to save issues, though I never encountered any. As it stands though tabletop is preferable, at least mechanically.

I'm only 29 hours in and I've lost 3 warbands due to the game not being able to load a save. I get stuck on the click to continue option after loading in and no matter what I try the game simply will not let me continue past that point
I have three guys surrounding one enemy. Each of my guys have 90% chance to hit. I miss every single blow. Every single one. The one enemy in turn proceeds to kill all three of my guys and doesn't miss once. I like hard games. I love strategy games. But when you have high 80% to 90% chance to hit and you miss 75% of the time, there is something wrong with the RNG in the game. This is just so frustrating. I'd be fine if it was just one mission. That's the breaks. But when it's consistent, with most every mission requiring me to take two to three times the blows to hit and kill the enemy in comparison to what they need to knock out my guys, there's something wrong with the RNG. This is an old game and the devs have no doubt moved on and have no interest in addressing the issue, which is a shame. this could have been a good game.
This game is just not fun. The mechanics are awkward, you have to confirm literally every decision, the game play is boring, stats mean nothing, and your going to miss almost every time. Any sense of satisfaction you may get from the strategy aspect is not worth all the headache it takes to get there.
The game is brutally difficult but it is excellent. It does have some of that XCOM junk where it says you have an 95% chance to hit but the whiff every time, so be aware of that but I'd recommend it especially with how often it seems to go on sale.
It is not without its flaws obviously. Sometimes it feels slow because of the time it takes for the AI to move and act and I wish there were more customizations for each member of your warband. But it is Mordheim and the most important aspects are there, the atmosphere and the feeling that in every mission death is around the corner
