Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Wow what a let down. Loved the first game, played the hell out of it and kept playing the daily challenges long after I was done with the base game. Played this a bunch, and not having as much fun with it. I am absolutely baffled that people think this game is better than the first. The first game had much better balance, and the rng of the draft choices as well as the "shop" options was much more fair. The boss design in this game is particularly poor. Stryx and Hallow are a ridiculously punishing pairing that requires dedicated builds to beat. How am I supposed to have fun with a game with so many options when only a few of the options can actually succeed. What is the fun of that? I am a veteran gamer with hours of play in all types of strategy games. I have tried a particular dimensional portal challenge over 100 times and have never been successful. This type of game design is not fun to play, and consumers should shun poor design. This is a strategy game, not a souls like hack and slash where my inputs can help balance the difficulty of the game. There have been multiple times I have been unable to complete even the second battle due to poor card choices and not enough ability to do damage. In later battles it becomes ridiculously difficult. There are enemies with 200-350 health and my troops can only do 25-40 in damage with upgrades. If the right upgrades aren't available (largestone, multistrike, etc) then you cannot level your troops enough to even scratch the enemies. How is this fun? How is this good game design? Don't tell me to rely on spells. How can I kill 300 health enemies with spells that do 10 damage? WTF is this? Why are the first few battles so damn easy but the later battles are so difficult? Where is a normal power curve? I'm sorry but I've lost faith in the reviewing community for having this as "Overwhelmingly Positive". Please just play the first one instead, it is actually fun and balanced. Avoid this convoluted mess of a game. They tried to do too much and ruined a good formula.

It's everything a sequel should be. It took one of the greatest deckbuilders of all time and just straight up expanded on it in every conceivable way. I wholeheartedly recommend it, it's worth every cent even at full price!
有点玩炉石酒馆战旗的感觉,养大哥单防boss是真爽。
+ More Monster Train! + Interesting card combo's - Did not like most "races". Felt weird or complex - Runs took me too long (Can speed it up but than I can't really see whats going on) - Kicked ass only to get destroyed by some bosses My enjoyment: 5/10 Slay the spire kept met hooked, this one does not
Monster Train 2 is by far the best roguelike I have ever played. Everything that makes MT1 so good got brought forward with more than twice the amount of content, extra modes, plenty of challenges, new card types, and more. I have barely scratched the surface of playing every faction combination because my god there are SO many and all of them are fun. The new factions of Underlegion and Banish are incredibly fun to play and have such unique mechanics that only exist because of how Monster Train works. It is punishing and difficult while also being really fun and easy to break the game, however all the "break the game" strategies have counterplay in the game that need you to devise counter play to them. Needing answers to a whole lot of problems makes the game super fun. Questions like, "What is my Seraph answer?" "How do I protect my backliners" and "How do I turn scaling into winning" is so fun. It is a scaling roguelike where the answer isn't to just scale harder, the answer is to figure out how your scaling actually hits the enemy units effectively. The Titans are the most interesting True Final Boss out of any roguelike I have played, and more fun the Last Divinity. On my roguelike tierlist, this game got its own tier above S, it is THAT good.
Probably the best deck-building roguelite I've ever played. Just endless variety in builds, runs, etc. Somehow extremely well balanced despite that too! Totally earns in popularity.
