Mold is a beautifully haunting exploration game. Scurry around the decaying sewers as a bug in a dying colony. Collect corpses of your kin to bring to your infected queen, as it is your only purpose.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
The world is decaying. MOLD consumes everything
Explore this rotten world from the perspective of an insignificant worker bug doing what it can to keep its queen alive. Climb through sewer pipes and over the soft mold-covered husks of others like you.
Mold is a beautifully haunting exploration game. Scurry around the decaying sewers as a bug in a dying colony. This game was created by Finley Southwick for Ringling College of Art and Design's Game Art department.
MOLD is a very short narrative and atmospheric collection and exploration game. You can crawl on any surface-- along walls, and ceilings to collect the corpses of your kin to bring to your infected queen, as it is your only purpose as you dodge deadly fungal spores that will result in your grotesque end!

bad controls short like 7 mins of gameplay not optimised at all kinda a pointless game really you also have to close the game to change your settings
A neat, very short game, that can be completely in five minutes or less should one choose. Its movement is a little clunky, and its camera placement isn't the greatest, but it was a neat experience

Incredible game. Beautiful glimpse into a bleak and dreary world, captured through stunning visuals and a delightfully haunting soundtrack. My only complaint is that there isnt more!! Beautifully done.
Hmm interesting concept, not ugly at all. It's just a little bit boring ahah.
JUEGAZO 😎👍💛🌟
feels less like a game and more like just a graphics/art showcase, which I guess that's what it is, so for that its good, it would've been nice to see more than one level or something but if you wanna take 15 minutes to look at the nicely designed fungi and the cute bugs its good, it achieves what its supposed to be. Honestly ignore the bad reviews, they expected something big, its a school project, not silksong.
interesting proof of concept. >one of the worst optimised games ive ever seen. >voice acting so hilariously bad it actually makes you wish they used AI instead. >voice actor is in the credits, i actually thought it was placeholder dialogue untill i saw that lmao >i wont comment on the story or the because there isnt one, and theres only 3 minutes of game play. >this isnt really a game, more of an unreal engine 5 tech showcase, but at 30fps all that cool unreal engine stuff kinda takes a backseat so it isnt even a good tech demo >the file size is 4gbs which for 3 minutes of game play may be the most egregious use of storage space ive ever seen, trumping even EA titles, imagine the file size if it was an hour long. >file size really speaks for the performance. >not really worth wasting even 3 minutes of your time on this, if it could run at 60fps sure why not but thats not what we have here
It's more of a demo than a game. There is probably 30 minutes to an hour of content. What there is is very interesting as a concept. I'd be interested to see what the dev does next.
