MISSING PLAY is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where one player faces off against the rest. Play as a survivor, cooperate with your teammates, complete objectives, and escape… or become the monster and do everything you can to stop them. It's free and will remain free.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
MISSING PLAY is an asymmetric multiplayer horror game mainly inspired by games like Project: Playtime and Dead by Daylight, but with its own identity, maps, monsters, and mechanics.
A group tries to survive. One tries to stop them.
Survivors will have to explore the map, complete different objectives, find items, and help each other escape.
Meanwhile, the player controlling the monster will have their own abilities and ways of finding, chasing, and eliminating the survivors.
Work with the rest of your team to complete the objectives and escape.
You’ll be able to explore the maps, search for items, help other players, and decide when it’s worth taking a risk to save a teammate… and when it’s better to run.
Every match can turn out completely differently depending on how the team plays and who is controlling the monster.
You only have one goal: kill every player.
Use your abilities to locate survivors, cut off their escape, chase them down, and prevent them from completing their objectives.
Each monster is designed to play differently, so learning their abilities and knowing when to use them will be an important part of the game.
MISSING PLAY is in Early Access, so there is still a lot of work to do.
During development, I want to keep adding new content, improving the current systems, fixing problems, listening to the community, and trying out new ideas.
I don’t want to promise that absolutely everything I have planned will make it into the game, because the development of a project like this can change quite a lot along the way.
I’d rather build it little by little and do it together with the people who want to play it.
MISSING PLAY will be free to play.
I don’t want the price of the game to be a barrier for people who want to play with their friends, try it out, and become part of the community.
The goal is to make a game that can keep growing over time and where every match feels more fun and different from the last.
We’re still building MISSING PLAY.
But don’t worry, it’ll be playable soon.
