really good art and story despite some frustrating bosses and parkour sections. I also wish some of the bosses had more lore/backstories, it might've made fighting them a bit funner/rewarding
A very cute metroidvania, with a compelling and interesting art style. Many people my not like the decision of lousing health at certain story points, in my opinion it flows well into the overall story and helps underline the urgency of the story. It was a brave decision which paid of in the end. The combat system over all is very dynamic but leaves room for adjusting certain modules, since there are why to strong combinations. All in all a very cute game.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Beatiful game with which hides secrets around almost every corner. Running back to after dying to some platforming sections can be anoying but overall really enjoyable. From level, boss design to overall playability great game.
Would definitely recommend the game. It is a journey, it is not easy. The visuals, the story and the music are amazing. As a person who doesn't eat and breathe platformers on a daily basis, during my first playthrough, I found the game to be quite challenging. On my second playthrough though, I had so much fun. Even the hardest platforming bits felt like something I actually wanted to tackle. The bosses are well-balanced, except for that one up Metropolis (you know who you are)! but I do understand why it has that specific mechanic lore-wise. For people who find it too hard though, the game has a setting which tones down fights. As for the controversial lose-a-life mechanic, I think it is actually so meaningful that it happens. Mio is struggling and trying so hard to keep going, hanging on by a thread. I maybe would have liked that to happen at crucial times in the story, but at the same time, the randomness is fitting to the atmosphere they set in the game. I find it quite disheartening that the game did not do that well sales-wise because I believe it does have the potential to be up there with the big names of metroidvanias. I 100% it out of pure love and appreciation. The attention to detail, the small interactions with the npcs, (some of which are very hidden), and I will say it again - the story, the visuals and the music created a beautiful experience that I enjoyed thoroughly. I really hope that more people give this game a real chance and enjoy it as I did!

MIO: Memories in Orbit is what I want to see more of in the metroidvania genre. I want to see games that aren't afraid of trying something new, even if it frustrates me so bad that I have to put the game down for a few days. I want to finish a game and be grateful that I experienced it, staring at my library and wondering how anything else is going to give me that same feeling. The most shocking part about it all is that MIO isn't a fresh idea on paper. Metroidvanias with beautiful visuals, cute characters, atmospheric soundtracks, and dying worlds feel like a dime a dozen nowadays. What makes MIO stand out to me is how willing it is to sell its world by including so many unconventional gameplay elements. Unlocking fast travel? Unusual. HP? Weird. Healing during combat? Almost nonexistent. The entire map itself? Idiosyncratic. Surprisingly, I almost always found myself coming around to these design choices. The HP loss mechanic has been a huge point of contention among players of this game. I initially found myself hating it because it made exploration feel overly punishing. But as I played more, it really grew on me. I found myself at (essentially) the same number of HP throughout the entire game, and it allowed for an open-ended experience that maintained its difficulty the whole way through by keeping that number consistent. That's just one example, but I went through this same process of acclimation with other major mechanics as well. You get the idea. The only thing I haven't really come around to is the small moments that do just feel like active time wasters. I'm talking the uneventful runbacks, the inability to fast travel between the top and bottom halves of the map, or that one wind puzzle where you have to loop all the way around if you missed the tiny hole in the wall. The most frustrating moments I had playing MIO were usually from tedium rather than actual challenge. It's the biggest slight I'd give to the overall experience. With that being said, it's an all-timer for me. Not every single experimental choice hits, but they all culminate into an unforgettable experience. This is a title I'll certainly be thinking about for years to come, and sits in the upper echelon of the metroidvania genre for me.
I deeply enjoyed playing through MIO. It's visually stunning and the music is used to great effect. This is one of the few times I was happily invested in a metroidvania's story, despite the lack of many character moments to get me invested in individuals. Learning more about the place I was exploring and then finding absolutely incredible environments that tell a new part of that story was such a brilliant and well-crafted experience. I played the Demo initially, and the slow and floaty controls left me a bit underwhelmed. I think that initial friction just fell away as I got used to it and unlocked more movement. And despite being "floaty", most of the bosses felt like really tight and well done experiences. My primary gripe is actually the lack of bosses later in the game. There are still several bosses that all felt really special, but seemingly the game wanted me to unlock all of my abilities, and then feed me a bunch of platforming gauntlets near the end. While I did enjoy these too (bar my stubbornness resulting in the occasional runback and replaying of difficult sections), they felt back-loaded. I want to give special praise to the boss design. Super interesting and distinct, and it felt like I died a reasonable amount of times to all of them - not something I can say about my experience with some metroidvanias. And of course, visually a treat every time. Overall I really recommend it. Definitely a proud addition to my 100%ed collection!
i can pet the dog at the citadel 10/10
