Come si suol dire, bella Mina
I like this game
It is a legitimate masterpiece. The game's high difficulty right from the beginning is a bit of a hump that has to be overcome, but once you do, you will find that this is one of the best games of the last few years. If you were a fan of Hollow Knight, this is a must-buy.

Peak game. Was happy to get obliterated over 300 times on my first playthrough.

This game is blast. It feels like an instant classic, like you somehow found a forgotten gem from 30 years ago. And while I think the game is excellent in most departments I also think that the game's absolute commitment to pay tribute to 8 bit classics also comes with some issues. - First the presentation. Graphics and soundtrack are top tier. The game has a darker setting while still feeling mostly like an E-rated game, similar to old Castlevania games (which is a strong source of inspiration). There are ghosts and skeletons and an overall "spooky" vibe that is very endearing in 8 bit graphics. The designs are also great, Mina herself feels like a character you already know thanks to how strong the art direction is, it's also why I say the game feels like an instant classic. But the 8 bit graphics come with their problems, sometimes it's hard to tell what you are looking at and it may take some getting used to, especially near the end of the game where some of the dungeons have some very intense visual effects. This clarity issue also affects audio, making the soundtrack fade in the background with all the fighting sound effects and enemy sounds, which is a shame because the soundtrack on this game is amazing, the audio could probably get fixed by playing around in the game settings but I couldn't get it right for me. - Now for the gameplay side. The game is simply put addictive to play. To some people it may seem unfairly hard, I myself am quite good at these kinds of games and still got over 100 deaths by the time the credits rolled. The thing is, you can make the game as hard as you want it to be. From the game settings you have access to a lot of difficulty modifiers to craft the the experience you want. And on the game itself you have access to the trinkets system. The trinkets system is awesome because it works as both player customization and as rewards for exploring the map. Trinkets are equipable items that can drastically change the way the game is played. Some can make platforming more forgiving or increase your survivability by improving your defence or healing. In my case I used my trinkets slots to improve on Mina's moveset and open up my combat options, but there is so much stuff you can do, I found a trinket that completely trivializes water exploration by allowing me to swim infinitely as long as I kept pressing a button at the right time. The dungeons are also a highlight, there are 6 main dungeons and unlike Zelda they are not an actual dungeon but rather entire levels with a very open approach. You can do them in any order you want, I basically did one that I was definitely underpowered for and thanks to that all the other dungeons were much easier, that's what I mean when I say the game is as difficult as you want it to be. The game also has a lot of secrets and collectibles that I would love to collect if I were on less busy time on my life. I finished my playthrough at 73% completion doing some of the side content. There's definitely a lot that I didn't discover but I'm satisfied for now, right now I'm itching for another kind of game.
