Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews

Very good story. I played it right through. I do wish there were more actual puzzles. As has been mentioned by others its more of a visual novel. But its still very worth playing.
Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place is a gripping psychological horror adventure that proves a memorable experience does not require a lengthy campaign. Developed by White Blanket Games and published by Octavi Navarro, the game delivers an intimate, story-driven journey that prioritizes atmosphere, emotional depth, and suspense over traditional horror clichés. As part of the Midnight Scenes anthology, it embraces a slow, deliberate pace that gradually builds tension while exploring themes of fear, loneliness, and emotional trauma. Rather than relying on relentless jump scares, it creates an unsettling mood that lingers long after the credits roll. The story centers on Phil, a young man living in an emotionally oppressive household where strained family relationships and recurring nightmares slowly erode his sense of reality. The narrative explores how psychological distress can become as terrifying as any supernatural force, with the line between dreams and waking life becoming increasingly blurred. The game unfolds through subtle environmental storytelling, carefully written dialogue, and symbolic imagery that encourages players to interpret events rather than having every mystery explained outright. This restrained approach makes the unfolding drama feel more personal and emotionally resonant, rewarding players who pay close attention to the details hidden throughout each scene. Gameplay follows the traditional point-and-click adventure formula but intentionally keeps its mechanics accessible. Exploration, object interaction, and light puzzle-solving guide the player through the story without disrupting its pacing. The puzzles are logical and straightforward, allowing the narrative and atmosphere to remain the primary focus. With an estimated playtime of around one to two hours, the game offers a concise yet satisfying experience that feels complete without overstaying its welcome. Its compact structure ensures that every location, conversation, and puzzle contributes directly to the overall narrative instead of serving as unnecessary filler. The presentation is among the game's greatest strengths. Its beautifully crafted pixel art captures a haunting sense of isolation while paying tribute to classic adventure games. Detailed environments, expressive character animations, and carefully controlled lighting create scenes that are both nostalgic and unsettling. Complementing the visuals is an outstanding sound design that uses ambient effects, eerie silence, and a restrained musical score to heighten suspense. Every creaking floorboard, distant sound, and quiet musical cue reinforces the oppressive atmosphere, making even simple exploration feel tense and unpredictable. What truly elevates Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place is its emotional storytelling. Instead of focusing solely on supernatural horror, the game examines the psychological effects of fear, emotional neglect, and isolation. The horror emerges naturally from Phil's deteriorating mental state, making the narrative more impactful than one driven purely by monsters or shocking imagery. While some elements remain intentionally open to interpretation, this ambiguity strengthens the experience by encouraging players to reflect on the story's deeper meanings rather than providing simple answers. Its only notable drawback is its limited runtime, as players who become invested in its world may wish for additional chapters or more extensive character development. Likewise, those seeking challenging puzzles or branching gameplay may find the mechanics relatively simple. However, these choices serve the game's narrative-first philosophy, ensuring the pacing remains focused and emotionally effective from beginning to end. Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place succeeds as a thoughtfully crafted psychological horror adventure that values atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional depth above spectacle. Its compelling narrative, memorable visual style, immersive audio, and mature themes combine to create a short but powerful experience that stands out within the indie horror genre. Although its scope is modest, it delivers a level of emotional impact that many longer games struggle to achieve, making it highly recommended for players who appreciate story-rich horror adventures with meaningful psychological undertones. Rating: 9/10
日本語ありの初期作品が30分ドラマならこの作品は映画版という感じ。少し長いけど満足感あり。XUnity.

By far the best Midnight Scenes entry yet. I highly recommend, just go in blind.
