DO NOT MAGICK THE PIANO ON YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH Game is really enjoyable though, soundtrack is amazing, characters are amazingly fun. I'm happy I've played this. Not going to knock your socks up to the moon and back, but it's quite a cute and fun story (for the most part). Make sure to play all endings!! 8.5/10

One of the most charming, and fun games i've played in a while.

Mesmalie features my favourite indie genre and genre in general, a genre quite lacking in the gaming space-- theres only so many signalis and psychopomps to temporarily assuage my desire for fun and passionately made games. I can sense the undertale and--might I dare-- omori's influence. The artsyle is adorable and fitting, better graphics purely for the sake of it would've done this game a diservice. The music, which I'm listening to rn, is enjoyable and a nice break from AI phonk innundating the cyberspace. I personally like #21, "THe Woods behind her house", the most-- it helps me with my own creative endeavors. Dialogue, often neglected and/or struggles, is entertaining in this game :) "Don't call me that-- yet" was super cute. A personal appreciation I have is the game's ackowledgement of every minute player action, such as unique interactions and past actions punishing future ones. (Mesmer couldn't play me a piece on her piano I broke :< ) My only issue is with the sudden introduction of the remaining witches and the equally sudden reveal of their demise, more time with them would've better to elicit stronger emotions. However I understand pacing is difficult to balance and further extending the game would be difficult while maintaining scenes and mini-games to stay consistent with the themes. IPerhpas the method of further showcasing those witches through Mesmer's recollection of them, alongside the actual flashback itself, should suffice and I'm just numbed after learning ready or not's storyline. Anyways great game, I wish you further success!

Spectacular humor/horror point and click adventure that is decidedly unique, but stands strong among the best of story games like Undertale! 10/10 This is one of my favorite games and does everything amazingly! I wish I could play it again for the first time. Pros: World building perfection! Humor, horror, heart, all blended perfectly in the writing making every sentence, object, and individual worth interacting with. Amazing art style! Like Undertale its is unique and charming enough to mesh with the story and themes, while being simple enough to not distract from the dialogue and allow for absurd animation. Quality gameplay! In many ways better than Undertale in that the game is never so hard that you wont be able to get an ending due to skill issue, but not so easy that you can turn your brain off. Every mini game was fun, easy to understand, and challenging to some degree. Other notes: Great main character humor, great tempo, clever secrets, heartfelt endings, no bugs, affordable price, and I love the color purple. Cons: I likely wont find all the endings, but that is how these games should be.
