its great
This is the best turn-based tactical operations game I've truly enjoyed since X-COM 2. It's tough, gives you plenty of options, has a great Sci-fi setting and a lot of twists in the campaign that are a legitimately fun to play through. The devs are very active and communicative and constantly improving their foxhole. It's early access but already feels better than many feature-complete games. If you're looking for something to fill this genre niche, this comes with my highest recommendation. It will only get better with time.
One of the best strategy games I have ever played hands down, and its still in EA. I bought in early and so far the Dev team has been hitting constant home runs, I cant wait to see where they take this over time. Insane levels of customization, balance feels really good right now. The amount of weapons and Squad leaders is fantastic for being able to use a variety of tactics and keep things fresh. Very good mix of current feeling equipment mixed with feasible tech sci fi scratches two itches at the same time. No RNG on hits is a nice change, I like XCOM but sometimes, well you know if you've played it haha. Sound effects are absolutely top notch and the squad banter is very thoughtfully done. Fully worth the asking price right now in my opinion, it'd be a steal on sale.
This game is absolutely brutal and absolutely fair to all sides. In particular, it treats suppression the way it works IRL. If you're looking for the peak of the squad-based tactics genre, you've just found it.
If turn-based tactics games like XCOM wedge themselves in your brain, you'll end up liking Menace. Even at time of posting before 1.0 release, there's plenty of game here to keep you occupied.
This game is super fun and you cannot tell its early access. Highly recommend.
Solid turn based combat game with some other mechanics that makes this game interesting with frequent quality updates.
Early Access and yet it's crystal clear even in this stage that this game has unlimited potential. The devs are transparent, it's a hype community to be a part of and just as the sun comes up the next day these guys will wake up and continue working on their game.
