The main reason is that the game initially feels like it has a lot to offer, yet it ends up staying in the same place without evolving much. At its core, Megaloot is a simple inventory and loot management game. Your progress largely depends on the items you obtain and how quickly you can move forward with them. Different characters have their own base attributes, and combining them with the loot you find allows you to experiment with different builds. However, the limited amount of content and the fact that almost everything is available to you from the very beginning make the game lose its sense of progression quite quickly. After just a few runs, you start to wonder what you are really working toward, and the motivation to continue begins to fade. I often wished that new items or characters would unlock depending on your level or the dungeon you reached, adding more depth to the gameplay. Unfortunately, after the first few hours the game offers little beyond repeating the same runs again and again. It might still be worth returning to occasionally for a few quick runs, but in its current state, that seems to be the maximum experience the game can offer. [b] RESULT: 3/5 [/b]
