MazM: Jekyll and Hyde

The game is follows Robert Louis Stevenson's novel 'Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde', a retelling and visualising the plot of the original novella. Growing Seeds excelled in creating a gloomy atmosphere along with capturing the gothic vibes of Stevenson's novella, both through environment and character design. The art is excellent, like many of their other games, aesthetic and mood is something the developers have a good grasp of. I especially enjoy Mr Hyde's character design, and keeping the 'Mr seek' pun from the novella is a detail I quite enjoy. I recommend this to people who have read the original, and wished to experience it in another form and those who would are unable to read the original novella. MaZM's Jekyll and Hyde is a linear narrative game, so I didn't expect much in its mechanic when playing the game. And if that's how its intended to be played then it is what it is. Overall this is a great experience for those who want to explore the gothic literature genre

The art is great, and the music is good. The writing, however, is awful. The game is poorly put together, and the dialogue feels unnatural. You'll get so much more from reading the book then you will playing this.

Puzzles perfeitos para uma criança de 5 anos e 1 dedão do pé, sem profundidade alguma ou complexidade. Fora isso, o jogo segue fielmente a história do livro de mesmo nome e tem um design de personagem MUITO bem elaborado, é perfeito para alguém que tem que ler o livro mas não tá afim.

An amazing mystery and engaging story. The addition of a few bits about the Victorian Era where the game takes place was a nice touch!
