Mayhem Brawler is an urban fantasy themed beat 'em up that brings back the 90s arcade vibe to present day. With comic book style art and kick-ass soundtracks, it offers a unique experience that you can tackle solo or as co-op with friends while defining the next step in the story with your choices.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

É um beat'em up sólido. Dá pra jogar várias vezes.
This is a nice classic beat 'em up. Comic-like art style, simple combat but fun, and after every stage, you can choose between two options, which gives you the possibility to access different routes with different enemies, locations, bosses, and story. Those choices also grant you three different final stages and endings. Very solid game; I just wish that developers were more bold and they tried developing the beat 'em up genre in new directions gameplay-wise. Like Absolum with its roguelike mechanics or Towerborne with its procedural stages and live service original direction. Also, I hope they manage to secure funding to finally release Mayhem Brawler 2; the demo is GREAT.

Plaintext

Fun coop
Gostei : 9/10 .
TLDR: A smooth and enjoyable metahuman beat'em up with modernized and polished 90's comic book art style, voice acted cut scenes, and a unique approach to looping the player into the details of combat that allows for an attainable mastery of the game to be achieved. I finished my first run of Mayhem Brawler on standard difficulty with a little over an hour of game time. It has branching paths and three different final levels. Each final level notably alters the plots significantly and comes with completely different enemy art not seen in any of the prior levels, which makes each of the three main story playthroughs rewardingly unique. You could mix and match level selections to get more than three different playthroughs out of the game. There are three playable characters and two unlockables that you can switch over to and access in the same run you unlock them (Very cool QOL feature for a beat'em up!). One monster guy, a standard 'guy' guy, and three baddies of varying stat profiles that have the '90's comic' look going on. Each have their own variable stats and similar move sets with different animations. The differences are pretty balanced between them and I honestly enjoyed playing as each. Even the slow hulking monster dude feels good to play, and I'm not usually a fan of those types. The dashing and jumping works so well that the big guy isn't a drag. Combat is interesting. First of all, it isn't one of those beat'em ups that feel stiff, so that's good. Mayhem Brawler offers the ability to mix standing, juggle, and air combos with power moves to really extend things. Power moves offer invulnerability while in use and can help you get out of tough situations if you use the AOE power move. The power meter refills through items or combos and doesn't feel too restricted and doesn't punishingly drain health--you are rewarded for chaining combos. What really stands out about the combat are little icons that appear overhead of characters to communicate buffs, debuffs, counter openings, and enemy wake up attack windows. The wake up attack window is particularly useful and allows you to play through the game without ever wondering if an enemy has a wake up attack or not. This all gives the player everything they need to master combat and feel like a badass wrecking enemies. If you pick things up quick, your second playthrough will feel much different from your first. For this reason, I'd recommend you hardcore beat'em up players that like to buy these kinds of games at release, get all achievements, speedrun, or playthrough a story or arcade mode multiple times, play on the hardest difficulty available from at least your second playthrough on, if not your first. There is an arcade mode where you have no credits, a level select, and a boss rush mode. Mayhem Brawler is strangely lacking an art gallery given both the handrawn style artwork and the comic book presentation and cutscenes. The cutscenes and story aren't game changers, but it honestly felt like more story content than you'll find in any other beat'em up, which isn't difficult to do but still kind of welcome. It may feel a little too modern and thus cringe or offensive to sensitive players that feel the current generations think too much about society, but, enh, why not? It's at least different and takes place in a universe with super powered metahumans. Overall, I can't say I had any negative experiences. I would have liked an art gallery and I recommend playing on a hard difficulty.
Positives 1. Different paths to take which alters the story a bit. 2. 3 distinct playable characters and 2 that are unlockable. 3. Good soundtrack 4. Nice art and runs smoothly. 5.Fairly pace and not overbearing difficult. Negatives 1. Block parry mechanic is OP. 2. Moveset is pretty limited and feels like button mashing. 3. Not enough unique game modes to hold yourself over. 4. A number of enemies have projectile attacks which can be annoying. 5. Once you seen all the pathways the game replayability drops as there isn't much to do. Pretty standard fare for a beat em up that doesn't do anything different but isn't something that I would say bad. If you are itching to play a SoR clone with less technicality then this is it. You'll have fun with it for the time being.
