Max Payne is a man with nothing to lose in the violent, cold urban night. A fugitive undercover cop framed for murder, hunted by cops and the mob, Max is a man with his back against the wall, fighting a battle he cannot hope to win. Prepare for pain…

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Normally I'd wait until I finish a game before writing a review but this game makes it virtually impossible to finish. I can't get past the chapter 3 prologue without invisible barriers shoving me off of very thin platforms and invisible walls preventing me from jumping to where I need to go next. This game has it's charms but the jankiness makes it unplayable.

4 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
4 on sale11 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 11 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 4 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

You should 100% play this game. 10/10 classic masterpiece and can't wait for the remake! Only con is you have to download either a patch or the fix it all with some better graphics, but both are very easy to do, and those fixes are listed in the community tab or easily youtube searchable.
.
After some light tweaking, Max Payne runs smoothly on the Steam Deck OLED and ends up being an enjoyable experience. Performance is solid, with stable framerates that make the fast-paced gunfights feel responsive and satisfying on a handheld. That said, the game shows its age. The graphics and some occasionally imprecise mechanics feel dated by today’s standards. Movement and aiming can be a bit rough at times, especially compared to modern shooters. Still, these issues never fully detract from the experience. What really carries Max Payne is its atmosphere, storytelling, and relentless pace. The dark, noir-style narrative, combined with the iconic bullet-time action, remains compelling even years later. On the OLED screen, the moody visuals and contrast actually enhance the game’s gritty tone. Overall, despite its age, Max Payne is worth playing on the Steam Deck OLED.
Pain to the max!
Great game, but if you dont have an older machine or don't know your way around a computer, youre gonna have a bad time. The latter part is why i dont recommend it.
forgetting that i had to download and run an EXE fix for this game to actually function properly. it was quite an enjoyable experience one of the parts where you're chasing a guy across the rooftops and aboard a train's roof, it bugged out pretty bad
