Max Payne is a game about a man whose face is permanently stuck in the expression of someone who just bit into a lemon while reading his own tax return. He lost his family, and the game will remind you of this roughly every four seconds through graphic novel panels narrated in the most overcooked noir prose ever committed to a hard drive. "The sun went down with practiced bravado." Sure it did, Max. Take a nap. The gameplay loop is elegant in its simplicity: enter room, press shift, fly sideways through the air in slow motion like a depressed swan, empty two Berettas into some mobster named Vinnie, land on your face, repeat for ten hours. And honestly? It rules. Bullet time was so good in 2001 that every other game spent the next decade stealing it and doing it worse. The nightmare levels deserve special mention as some of the worst platforming ever designed. Walking along a thin blood trail in a black void while a baby cries is not "atmospheric," it is a war crime against thumbs. Verdict: 10/10. A miserable man dives through the entire criminal underworld of New York in his pajama coat and it is still cooler than anything released this year. The painkillers are the true main character.

It works but i highly recomend a patch because it is a very old game.
If you haven't played Max Payne, you truly haven't experience the timeless classic! Just don't watch the movie, I heard it's... far different!
Pants couldnt handle the enjoyment i was having giving out maximum PAIN, download the fix patch if you wanna explode in ur pants properly over this game had to change so many pants after delivering max payne.
