At the current state of the game there is not much to do but it’s also very cheap. For the price of just €2.39 I can’t really complain about the lack of content in this early access game. The current gameplay loop is to harvest resources, iron, coal and wood, and turn them into weapons and tools. Don’t bother with making items to sell them to random customers, only the special requests matter as they give lots of reputation and better payment. I can only recommend waiting until this game has more to offer, because after an hour of learning the game, you crafted a lot of nails, axes, swords, daggers, hammers and arrows and the game becomes uninteresting as constantly the same people walk in and ask for the same items. There are no skills, no special recipes, no apprentices, no special materials
The game is nice, but there is a bug which was painful to have. I opened the gold mine and i clicked save and quit. After a logged back, a the gold mine was like before, and not able to open again. But the game idea is nice, of course there is more to be done. GG
The concept is very interesting for someone like me, and I feel the developers are going in the right direction, but they still have a long way to go before achieving their goal. Normally, I would not recommend a game in such a limited state of development, but the very low price (about 3 CAD) takes into account this limitation, and I think it is justified for the work done and for the entertainment the game provides at this point. There's very little content, but the existing content works well and provides good entertainment.
While amusing, the developers (being students anyways), have stated that v1.0 was the final update with no more plans, ie don't hope for any further improvements... I post a 'recommend' review simply because i don't want to post a negative review instead... (Steam really needs to allow neutral reviews that don't require recommendation etc) I did find the game amusing, so I'm not as bothered by the fact the game has been effectively abandoned (though you have to keep in mind that 'abandoned' doesn't mean anyone can claim it as their own from now on, a few people have attempted or have done that in the past to other such 'abandoned' games lol) my only real point of contention is the fact that special requests arrive way too early in the game, ie at the very start of a new game, when you most likely *don't* have the resources to actually complete the request, especially since the 'tutorial' part of the game ends up suggesting you use up a resource that you can't actually produce that early in the game... In real life, any person starting out, regardless of profession, would not receive personal requests for specific products until they are better known for service or products, so from a business point of view, this game is a failure, or a unrealistic... Unfortunately, while fun the experience/experiment with, as a time management game, it is actually stressful given the starting conditions & stockpile (certainly insufficient to even start taking on requests for specific products!) - if the developers/students were to release a new patch, I'd request they change the code to delay the arrival of special requests until the player is more established... failing to deliver (or even accept) the request leads to a huge hit in reputation, almost as if it were intentionally designed to cause problems for the player (similar to how people sometimes spread false [and occasionally criminal] rumours & allegations against recently established upstart businesses to cause bankruptcy early on) PS, I do understand that students still have finances to deal with IRL so this would be a way to at least provide pocket change for daily life, but now that they have admitted no new development would occur, they really should've changed the pricing to 'free' at the time of releasing the final patch for the game...
Es ist eintönige Spiel, da wird es schnell langweilig. Für denn Preis ist es auch ok. Fehler macht man nicht.
dude it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ master forge what is there to say
