Masquerade is an action-adventure set in the fantasy world of The Realm, centered around a battle for the mythical Druid Orbs, the most powerful pair of balls in all the land. For it was said that whomever possessed the Orbs, possessed the power to rule all.

absolute garbage. red flag!
I honestly hate giving games a thumbs down but there are too many issues with this game. First off the camera, my god its awful and we have no way to adjust it. The spinning and jumping around made me feel like i was gonna puke. Secondly the controls, Now everything is pretty basic and i have no issue with that but its the fact that you need to do some platformer stuff and the controls are just not responsive enough for that. And lastly its the game crash that others spoke of, when it actually did crash...it soft locked my PC and I couldnt do anything. So its a no go for me.

Crashes after you finish the first level (many others have reported this issue). Camera is waaaay too close (and low FOV) and fast with no way to adjust it's automatic movement speed. Depth of field blurs far too soon in background and too strongly with no way to adjust and/or turn off. A setting in the menu for "Cinematic Mode" with no explanation or apparent result (nitpicky, but very demonstrative of the many issues). Also pretty sexist. Overtly large and wiggly breasts and nipples on the female character who gets relegated very quickly to damsel status. Combat is also very clunky. No where close to as good as the Arkham games that it is attempting to emulate. Camera is too close to see people attacking. If you counter and don't finish the counter another enemy will automatically hit you. Just very clunky (lots of other little issues not listed here).
This is how you destroy an entertaining game full of fun and ease with a terrible camera settings.
Lots of problems with this game first the camera is in a fixed follow camera position and cannot be unlocked which means the camera is behind your character and always looking ahead of your character which is good for when you are playing a driving game but vomit inducing when playing a platformer game because in a driving game a car can turn like 45 degree's total in a second while in a platformer you can turn 180 degrees in a 1/10th of a second which means the camera is constantly swinging around whenever you move and it is baffling why they even made a move camera input when they decided on a fixed follow camera position next lets talk about the crashes first one occurred after I beat the first level and it deleted everything but I decided I would give the game another chance and on level 4 at the end it crashed again and when I tried redoing the level again it crashed a third time so 3 strikes means to me that this game will crash for you if you play it because of the frequency it had reared its ugly head for me next problem is the fighting which is not very good because of a few reasons 1) the dodge is extremely stiff feeling and it hardly moves your character so I didn't really bother with except for bosses where you had to use it 2) the stun move animation was really long because it would always go slow motion however enemy's were not effected by the slow motion and would hit you while you were still in the slow motion 3) if you did combo attacks (changing who you are hitting with each attack) the enemy's would take twice the amount of hits than if you attacked each enemy individually till they go down the humor is this game is bland like unseasoned white rice I never even chuckled they just didn't pull it off well at all and we are talking of at least 50 different attempts at jokes by the time I quit I can tell the voice acting is supposed to be over the top and silly but they managed to make it feel lifeless this one is a no go folks the tutorial is pretty in your face for the first level
This comes off like a comical Batman. You have attacks and counter attacks, as well as dodge mechanics. The jester's a likeable sort, and the story has a nice ring to it. Unfortunately it's really plagued by some problematic issues. If you're counter attacking you're stuck finishing that animation with whatever enemy you're doing that with. This means you'll likely be unable to dodge or counter an attack coming from behind. Platforming is pretty weak in the game, with it feeling more like an addition to the game than a meaningful experience. My controller was vibrating non-stop even while I did nothing. Exiting the game resulted in a black screen where the game refused to exit and had to be closed via task manager.

https://youtu.be/1-2CbjVAa7I Applying an automatic camera in a brawler that uses a 3D space is not an ideal choice. Players that survive that will find jokes that try far to hard to be edgy with no real bite.
Don't buy or try Doesn't start. Some suggest a controller fixes the issue, but that's no guarantee. For me it started 1 time, after that always crashed after the logo screens. Apparently it has to do with some weird DRM it came with.
Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom is a poorly made third person 3D action brawler with a comedy theme. Control a cartoony clown character and fight over legendary Druid Balls. On the upside this isn't a 2D retro pixel platformer, or an asset flip, and seems to have been genuinely made, but without consideration for QA, playtesting or finding a target audience that would like the game, which would explain why keys for the game were sold in bulk to Humble Bundle in an attempt to recoup costs. The general concept of the game is to make something full of puerile puns intended to appeal to 12 year old boys. The game is badly made, with godawful camera controls. PC gamers will be immediately insulted by console peasant childrens toy gamepad prompts. This is perplexing because the game does not seem to have been launched on consoles (clearly console peasant minds are the target audience given the middle school humour here), and is a PC exclusive. A bungled mistake on the part of the developers, or simply because the quality was too low to be accepted on the console peasant gaming appliances? The developers screwed up the implementation of the game and didn't conduct significant testing. When resolutions over 1080p are selected, overscan/DPI problems render large portions of the game display area off screen, so you only see the top left corner of the game. This is simple to fix if the developers bothered to test their software on modern PCs, but it's clear they didn't. It's impossible for me to recommend console games that aren't good enough for consoles (let alone PC), where the developers lack of proper testing make the game unplayable on modern PC displays. The $15 USD price tag here for untested console reject software is funnier than the "jokes" in the game.
