March of the Living

Interesting idea for a game and it was decent until the combat happened. When you are the only survivor it is fine, even the combat is fun. However once you start to get more survivors, the combat becomes more involved and annoying. Basically if you have 3 survivors for example then combat is (pause) issue commends, a few seconds later (pause) issue commands, rinse and repeat every few seconds. It gets annoying. It would be so much better if the survivors you control can act act for themselves and then you can just jump to any survivor as you wish. But you have to keep pausing and giving commands. Maybe I am missing something but this is the only way I found to do multi survivor combat. So I will not be playing this game. Some may like that kind of combat and that is fine. But for me it's a refund.

Its boring. The game tries to make you like the characters or feel bad for them but I barely started so I have no idea who they are and without voice acting and even without any images, its just text telling me my family died, two minutes in. Random events with random consequences and just blobs of text. This game is just boring and unfair. No thanks

I understand being a hard game but failing to investigate 9/10 times when the success chance says it is 88% is not hard, its lying.

You know that feeling when you're playing an RPG and your skin is crawling waiting for that random ecounter you don't want to deal with because it's easy and boring? This is the manifestation of that, which is a shame because the other parts of the game are great. Too much combat that's the same totally ruins this.

Tedious and boring when it isn't brutally hard. And that's on their "normal" difficulty. I quit multiple times because it just didn't click with me and after years of re-opening this I can firmly say its a bad game and not worth your time. On easy they give out supplies like candy but on normal you can lose survivors just from running away from stacked odds. terrible
