Marble Trap

Ball-y Trapland! Being chased by sawblades avoid all traps while racing to the finish line. Each level is about 20-40 seconds long. Has movement inertia and the turn speed depends on the current directional speed. Also has jumps and shortcuts. Pretty good arcade action! Edit: Later levels increase in length (60+ seconds) and the use of the cannons is increased, which is a bad combination to turn up the luck required. The cannons are shooting so unpredictable that it's always a gamble to rush by them. The cannons are basically like playing the lottery and since you play it more often within later levels you die most certainly more often. I don't like gambling, I only like skill-based gameplay. Yes, the cannons do have a vague smoke animation seconds before shooting, but you can't watch all 8 of them in a cannon corridor within a second of rushing speed. So you gotta stop before every cannon corridor to play it safe, but even then it's unpredictable and interrupts the flow of the racing aspect. Thankfully the whole trap set is replaced at level 48 with different ones which changes the gameplay to fun again. The trap set changes again at 73, 97 and 120 which is refreshing. Has a weird music mix as a soundtrack which switches between calm tunes and DOOM metal guitar riffs. I turned it off and listened to my music. After playing through it I recommend this only if you want quick arcade action without thinking too much. It's really not that great, but still ok.

Hatte eigentlich ein modernes Marble Madness erwartet, und dass ist es leider nicht. Prinzipiell nicht schlecht, aber es hat halt Macken. Was mich besonders stört, man muss bei einem Fehler das Level immer von vorne beginnen. Zwar hat man unendlich viele Leben und die ersten 20 sind easy, aber so ein simples Feature kann man heutzutage schon erwarten. Dadurch wirkt es nicht gut programmiert bzw. durchdacht, was man auch an der fehlenden 'Spiel verlassen' Funktion merkt.

Fun quick game! Take a little to get use to the movement but worth it afterwards

Are REAL speed running games like Polyball giving you high blood pressure? Now here is a nice and easy snack sized game to treat that itch without the bulging arteries. Sure you can try to improve your time by doing levels again and again and beat those insane world leader board times but if you just want to casually beat the levels and 100% the game then it's doable. Mechanics wise all is sound and as usual having good speed and momentum if key to scoring proper times and generally completing levels. Stopping is rarely good but also a strategy should you really want to play it safe. Just don't stick around for too long. Blades be coming after you. wink wink. 10/10 considering price and all. Does not compete with the 'real' games but is a considerable game in the genre not to be passed because it's featured often on DIG and price is very low-low.

Fast-paced marble course. Use joystick for best results, however you'll have to let go of it often to 'reset' the direction. I found myself barrelling off the side because a direction got stuck. Directions which are opposite from each other can do this, while those close will be very smooth.
