Magic: The Gathering Arena

Doesn’t work I’ve uninstalled and redownloaded the game twice and I still can’t drag anything across the screen. Can’t even make it through the tutorial. Not a lot of fun if you can’t play.

Algorithm sucks The algorithm is absolute trash more often than not, it does not feel fair or skill based, too many matches feel decided before they even start. Over time that frustration adds up; one by one my friends and I stopped playing because it just was not fun anymore. Losing is fine, feeling like the system is working against you is not; eventually the game stops being enjoyable and just feels exhausting.

Unfair gameplay The game is trash. You’ll get back to back hands where you get nothing but lands or no lands at all but your opponent gets all the cards they need it’s dumb.

The magic of it I actually just found this game and the real card game recently never really played anything but yugioh growing up, I’m 28 now, crazy to think I’d love this just as much. Wonder what it would be like to be an ambassador… would love to show off my crazy builds on arenas , I try to not use conventional methods . It’s been fun

Match making I live and love the game . But I feel that the match making absolutely sucks. Magic only rewards those that spend money on app . If you just get on to grind and have fun save your coin enter a tourney . If you don’t net deck . There good chance you might get one win . Not right for those that are mainly free players . The algorithm knows this and that’s how match making is . No matter the style of your deck you will always get the player with a deck that is anti everything in your deck or turn three . Absolutely garbage . Why have ranked matches . Then come to a tourney that rank dissolves and then you just waste your coin . I feel this app is making it to where the creativity of a person deck making skill are dwindling because out of the many magic player how is it that we play the same style deck consistently? 2/3 matches you will play some one with the same exact deck as match previous . It becomes no fun . Items in shop for free players aren’t there long enough to obtain much because coin is a limited income in game always have to wait . Then loose it . Tbh I believe most people in match making isn’t real but computer bots playing us . Very peculiar

Glitches and rule breaks They require you to quite an active game and create a new Wizards account (outside the app) to even start to report a bug/issue Right now there’s dozens of game-breaking bugs One of which is card affects not working half the time, such as Ward

This game is rigged I swear to god it is you could have 10 lands out of 100 cards and if you run out of those 7 cards in your hand your only pulling those lands. And the ranked in this game is a scam. You could have a deck that has only one counter and for some reason every person on earth has that one particular deck

Gameplay I’ve been playing this game for about three days now and the first 20 to 30 games were fine, but now for some reason every time I play a normal game mode, I get paired up with people who have significantly better cards that I couldn’t possibly deal with because I still have a premade deck since I haven’t been playing long enough to collect enough cards that I need to build a better deck. also every time I play an event or a different game mode that forces you into a game of chance I can continuously get screwed over for example if I somehow got a 3/3 flying creature then my opponents next turn will get a 5/5 or every time I would get a creature that I believed to be powerful than without sale every single time my opponent would miraculously get a Greenshire significantly more power. Every time I play this game for some reason I get screwed over so bad I believe the mechanics of this game or the luck factor/and or the randomized program needs to be updated. Every time I play this game, I only ever get to play 10 games and if I’m lucky I would win too and that’s not because I’m just stupid. I’ve been playing magic the gathering for over six years now and I have never been screwed over like this while I play with real cars. This app needs to fix something.

Unplayable All I get is “check your connection” with a “retry” button that does nothing. My connection is fine (how else could I leave this review, let alone get/send email and see websites?). Maybe be you should check YOUR connection.

Want to love it but it’s impossible What a complete disappointment. This game is genuinely fun, which makes it even more frustrating to see it ruined by what feels like a terrible algorithm that's more focused on squeezing money out of players than providing a fair experience. The gameplay increasingly feels designed to push you toward spending instead of rewarding skill or time invested. The developers are just as frustrating. They'll reach out acting like they want feedback, but when you actually take the time to provide detailed, specific examples of the problems, they suddenly go silent. Instead, they tell you to post everything on their forum, where it feels like complaints are just sent to disappear instead of being addressed. If you're going to ask for feedback, at least have the decency to engage with it instead of passing people off somewhere else. This game had so much potential, but poor management and questionable design decisions have completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. Can anyone recommend a similar game that's actually run by developers who care about fair gameplay and listen to their community? I'd rather support a company that values its players than keep wasting my time here.
