Centuries ago, a primal magic surged from the earth's depths, fueling empires but twisting it's inhabitant and the world into corruption's grasp. Forests blackened, skies bled shadow, and rivers turned to poison.
But a less prevalent radiant energy was also born, and hidden within pure warriors, the Luminaries. Armed with the light, their goal is to reclaim the land, hurling back the blight.
Yet the Luminary's gift is double-edged, immortality that tempts the soul. Every 80 years, Luminaries must yield their light to a successor, or risk eternal decay. Defiant ones hoard it, swelling into godlike tyrants of darkness, the Ebonarchs
As a new Luminary, rise in power. Shatter the Ebonarch's abyssal power source to strip their immortality, and strike them down. Together with your fellow Luminaries, push back the Darkness with Light.

A nice gem made by two devs.
Though still in the earliest stages, this game show great potential. The combat system is clean, and the open world environment is fun to explore. The mechanic of having to actually unlock access to your fast travel points is a great addition to the open world environments. The character movements are a little choppy at times, but the issues that I notices, are things that will improve as the game grows. Major kudos to the TWO MAN dev team, for an excellent game. I'm excited to see how far it goes!

i love the meccanics
Really enjoying Luminary so far. Played co-op with two friends and we had a blast running around unlocking towers, exploring, and fighting a ridiculous amount of goblins. The co-op is cool. Everything is more fun when you're figuring things out with friends, and slowly opening up more of the world. Combat has been fun, progression feels rewarding. We only scratched the surface so far, but our first session was enough to make us want to jump back in. Luminary is definitely worth checking out. Recommended. 👍
This game has amazing potential. The bones are all here. Sure content is a little light right now, but thats where the amazing dev team comes in. Two people battling up hill against the industry giants. They are amazing. If your at all interested in this game, go check out the discord. They are always chatting and being a part of the community. Very transparent, very upfront. What you see is what you get, no tricks, and that speaks volumes. Can I give this game a 10\10? No, BUT I can say, I give the devs a 10\10. I truly believe that given enough time and support this game will become something the industry giants should fear. Keep up the good work. I'll be along for the ride.
Has Great Potential but lacks variety for now, The worlds is huge and the battle is very good for indie Game But need to be filled up. If you want to try the game try the demo and you will get the idea in to 100. Buy the game if you want to support the devs but if you are looking for your next big adventure i think you will have to wait a little longer, I have hope for this one as the idea is very solid and the game is has good polish for early acces.
Crude empty game. Little feeling of progression.
Love this game. Good character creation options. Beautiful characters. Relaxing music. Intuitive combat. Beautiful world that rewards you for exploring. Just needs more content, gear, and story/lore.
This game seems to have promise, but there are some very fundamental issues with it, that I believe should come WAY before world building, storytelling and anything else. Combat. The melee combat is very clunky. It has a tab locking system similar to say, Ocarina of Time. Which has your scroll wheel changing targets, but sometimes it won't intuitively select what you would expect as the "next target" or it will ignore a mob altogether from the wheel. Leveling up mid combat? It will break your melee combo in order to do an animation of leveling up. That on it's own is an indicator that this should not have hit early access yet. The core systems should be fleshed out long before the game is monetized. Aside from this core issue, the usual EA problems exist, such as minimal UI, large vast empty world, repetitive combat against the exact same mobs over and over, lack of loot, armor is cosmetic only, there are no defensive stats at all, roll dodging clips on enemies who swarm you making it useless in melee combat. There is a plethora of core system issues that I believe need to be addressed before a developer can look to monetize their product. I am not going to refund this title. I am going to hang on to it as I believe the developer really has a passion for this and will hopefully work out some of these major problems and polish this into something. When that happens I will gladly update my review and give credit where it is due. But right now, this is a miss until those issues are addressed, in my opinion.
