this is such a cute and well-made game! the characters are all complex and fleshed out (AND HOT), the story is cohesive and interesting, and the rng main group chats make the experience feel new every time. love me a good chatroom dating sim, and this is def one of my new favorites <3

Having the best of time so far!! Can't believe this game made me recall how much I liked Shimejis T-T I'm a big fan of chatsims games, and as a Mystic Messanger fan, I throughly approve and enjoy this game. Looking forward to the full version!

Lovebyte.exe was an unexpected but welcome gem. To give context, I am totally unfamiliar with Vtuber culture so there was a bit of a learning curve! The definition system was very much appreciated for those of us going in blind. I also was not a part of the Kickstarter and only found this game because it was suggested in my calendar. What caught me was the art style and the opportunity to explore parasocial connections in a way that was encouraged. Usually I only see unhealthy depictions so a game centered around it was intriguing. The voice acting is also amazing and the music is enough to be pleasant and not a distraction. The atmosphere is very unique. I feel like I am actually in a Discord server with these strange and thirsty individuals. I have laughed, experienced second hand embarrassment and cringed at the personalities surrounding me. The mystery of discovering which person is actually who is really compelling. I am enjoying the game so far. I didn't expect the story to be deep because that is not what is on the tin. It's the world and the people in it that everything is centered on. However, there is one piece of constructive criticism that I want to share. From one writer to another. I don't know where the routes are leading or what you have planned but I can tell the care you have placed in everyone's backstory. It's the people that are holding everything together and making everyone want to play and as a dating sim, it's the romances that are always crucial to get correct. I know you are limited to having the setting be digital, that is pretty obvious and asking for more at this point is unrealistic. However, may I suggest that any IRL interaction be included by maybe a digital diary? It only needs to be text but I really would like to know what happens off screen between my character and the love interests. Anything else feels like I have missed an important piece of the story, the relationship. And with that being the whole point of this genre, not including it seems like a major misstep. To put it in in-game terms, this is giving major FOMO and that is something you definitely should avoid. If you absolutely can't include something like that, perhaps as a DLC maybe? Or even just a text file because I really do want your game to succeed and I feel like if this isn't already planned, it would harm the overall quality of what you are trying to deliver. I also hope this is all building to meeting IRL. Even if it's just a line of dialogue with the screen black, that would feel like the perfect payoff. As an aside, I am so grateful that you included the option for pronouns. Even if it wasn't what you were intending, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community it's always hard to find same sex dating games that provide representation and feel safe. This does. Also, I feel personally attacked! I was naturally going for Equinox but was blindsided by Dolphin Daddy. How could you expose me like that??! But that is my message to the Devs for a game in early access. My actual review is this. If you are looking for a fun exploration of parasocial connections, this is a great way to do that. In its current state, there is much to be enjoyed and experienced. If you don't mind the cliffhanger of an unfinished game, definitely spend the small amount asked for and suffer with the rest of us that are waiting. XD I would recommend this game, especially to those shy souls that feel more comfortable behind a screen and more able to express themselves through text. A tentative 8/10. Delulu is the solulu.

As a massive Otome fan, lovebyte.exe is everything I could have wanted in a chatsim! The premise of your kamioshi going missing and trying to figure out who is who in a chaotic group chat is so addictive and captured the internet community perfectly. Great voice-acted scenes completely made the experience. The "Biscord" voice calls and identity reveals feel incredibly rewarding. If you love otome games, Date with Death, or just degenerate stream chats, grab this while it's still discounted in Early Access!

Bought this game the second I could after release. Even the demo had me obsessed with this and the early access does NOT disappoint. I absolutely love every character (even love to hate that wicked wizard)
