It's like stepping inside a childhood cartoon! Animal Crossing meets TaleSpin.
In desperate need of QoL improvements - limited storage, creation time etc is all just tedious. The progress of quests makes no logical sense and you just find yourself doing quests in a weird order and then finding yourself stuck. All of the QoL issues just ruin the fun. Try Chop Chop Inc, it does it much better.

Exactly as described. Fun, Engaging, and interesting. Character voices would be nice if there was actual dialogue but Nostalgia LOVES the mumbles voice and it's done WELL. Flight is fun and engaging (look for upgrades people) and fluid. Wish there was a little more control over colors for the plane (White being WHITE white, but that's a minor Gripe. I never was able to get into Slime Rancher (GREAT game just didn't jive with it) but this is *my* slime rancher. looking forward to future updates and DEV's communications (which has been great so far).
This game is SO GOOD! I love the characters and writing, so many cutie pies and silly, funny encounters!! The gameplay is quite fun and driving the seaplane is very chaotic and fun (at least for me, I don't have my seaplane license apparently).. Also the art style and environments are GORGEOUS!! Give this game a try if you're looking for a new, cozy adventure game!
I enjoy the game to a degree. I would NOT have purchased it if I knew it had platforming. I do not enjoy that type of game, so I don't purchase them. At this point, I don't know if I will manage to finish those quests that require platforming. It's not fun for me. I also don't enjoy the limited storage. You can't craft any storage chests at all. It sucks bad. Other than those two very important items, I enjoyed other aspects of the game. Take note if these are deal breakers for you.
check on forums : theres lot of bugs listed so this game basly Early Access Game (not sure why they did not do this) update: checking the temps 65c on gpu yea it little hot but it can go higher if longer for uncap fps (DONT enter this risk do cap it to 60 fps) normal temp 55-60c on gpu (with 60fps lock) i have seen no very bad bugs like game brakeing bugs
I wanted to like this game but it's not enjoyable. It's too grindy for no reason. The economy is way out of whack and I'm not waiting years for a QOL patch they should have had Day 1. Evidently I'm not alone as I'm now seeing more and more reviews agreeing with me. Had I seen them before purchase I wouldn't have bought this game. Inventory is also way to small. The Devs keep saying "oh store them in your plane" but when it has to be within a small range it doesn't help nor does no proximity crafting from storage. Meh, just not for me, much better games out there with less grind. Oh and the NPC's are just too childish, lifeless and all you do is click through the painful dialog. Got a refund and happy to not touch this again.
Very fun and colorful game with some cute hybrid animals and character. Has some retro nintendo vibes which I really like! Walking around and collecting stuff feels very relaxing. The game definitely has a lot of charm and heart. Makes me feel like I am on vacation.
I enjoyed the game for what it does well! Which is: collecting materials for crafting and quest completion to further the game along. I really loved the world creation myth with Light and Darkness and their little rascals throwing tantrums, that was super cute and drew me in--that story bit was the thing that drew me to the end. What I didn't super enjoy was the constant roadblocks with little guidance on how to overcome them. Nothing was truly insurmountable, but hiding important items in chests around the map or behind vague visual tool tips (the fern and the starlings to name the two that peeved me the most) was frustrating. I played roughly 14 hours of the game before making this review which did include reaching the credits and a little beyond. I like what the game is trying to be, I wish it had a little more story, that Lou mattered a little more. I wish it had a little less to do with selling your entire inventory to the vendor because you don't have a chest and what little storage you do have is not sufficient for a game about crafting and material gathering. I wish the controls for mouse and keyboard were better and that there was a "MAX" button for buying and crafting. And I think the sheer amount of materials you can find and gather in the game does not equal the amount of materials that are useful in the game (sometimes not even for a quest, at least not that I've seen in 14 hrs of the game). Yes, it's a fun game. I would buy it again if I forgot to make a hard save and had to redo it over again (that's a Granny reference). I love some of the dialogue bits and some parts really made me laugh out loud, I want more of that! I think there is promise here and I hope the devs keep deving on this :)
