Lou's Lagoon

I bought the game and played through it on PS5. I enjoyed it so much I got it again on Steam. This is the perfect blend of cozy, 3D platforming, flying and crafting. It keeps everything relatively simple and light hearted. There is no life meter, so you cant actually lose. It has a wonderful story with a great cast of characters and unique scenarios. I really enjoy the tone, and vibe of the world and the fantastic presentation. Beautiful art and some very solid level design make this one of my favorite games of the year. It has a few flaws like limited inventory space, but you can greatly increase how much you can hold by exploring and finding hidden chests throughout the world. Overall great game, well worth the price. 9/10 GGWP!

What's new Uncle Lou, we're coming after you! Where's Uncle Lou, gonna find you~! Overall, enjoyed the game, I think because of lower end PCs / Console ports, the game isn't as open world as I would have liked but hey, it is pretty well optimised so can't complain. Inventory management is my BIGGEST GRIPE about this game. With so many items to craft and gather, the limited space both in pocket and plane is not enough. The pockets can be expanded but having a chest option which crafting machine can feed from would have been amazing. Considering the amount of different recipes you require. Money at the start is a little tight, but doing side quests quickly earns you enough to get upgrades. The end game does not require all gadgets to be maxed which I really liked because that would have been more timesink slop. I do think the crafting time for items really is unnecessary for the most part, there is no reason for items to take 2mins+ to craft this isn't a MMO. Having all items at 5s or so would be fine, due to the amount of different things you need to make.

Pretty fun. Kind of a new My Time in Portia with added plain junk. Calm. Easy. Neat story.

Blown away, it's beautiful, super cozy, and to just sum it up... FUN! A real breath of fresh (island) air in the current gaming landscape! :D

Had this on my Wishlist since it first appeared on Steam. The concept and art design really drew me in and then all went silent for a very long time. I honestly thought the game had been abandoned like so many other early accsess titles :( . But a ray of hope came and we were promised the game was coming sometime in the future and we would get some updates. And guess what we got? Ages later a few random update notes and then the holy grail of my expectations a playable demo. After less than 10 minutes of the demo I'd already had enough of this game. Enough to let me know this was a 100% definite buy upon release. So so glad I waited and stuck this one out. To everyone considering purchasing this game please just Ignore the bad reviews based on the inane opinions of the sad woke He/She, Him/Her That/Them It/Thing, Vegetable/Mineral pronoun a55holes who plague Steam reviews. This is a brilliant cozy game packed with depth, fun and most off all a breath of gaming fresh air. Exactly what is needed after a hard days work, school, study or a general bad day in life. Video games are about escapism and most normal people appreciate a bit of coziness and warmth in their lives which is what Lou's Lagoon provides. Some people need to learn that Video games are entertainment and not opinions of the people that create them or political or religious statements! Thanks Tiny Roar team (and Megabit) for all your hard work in bringing this project to life. I sincerely wish you all the best in this and all your future projects.

I never understand the length that some reviewers go to, and end up writing a novel length unworthy critique to highlight your opinion on a game. It's very simple. This game is a "cosy" island/crafting/exploring/flying/fishing et al...thingy It's very nicely portrayed, candy for the eyes indeed, it runs well, and if I am not looking for a complex city builder in the ilk of Satisfactory, and I am in the mood for low lights, soft music, and to soothe my brain, I will definitely play Lou's Lagoon. There may be a couple of things like a better way to store things, there are some areas that could require a little work but, in my most humble opinion, detracts absolutely nothing from the game as a whole. Well done to the Devs of this little beauty, please keep up the good work y'all...this is my favourite genre I play, and I have likely played them all at one point or another, there are several I play with regularity, from one scale of the spectrum to the other, this will be fitting nicely into my regular games, in the "easy listening section" if you will. With some continued commitment to bolster and improve, the sky will not be your only limit.

Backed this on Kickstarter and I regret nothing. Absolutely gorgeous world, lovely characters and a real pleasure to finally experience the game fully.
