When it comes to medieval real-time strategy, Lords of the Realm III flies the flag high. Whether it's maneuvering troops on the battlefield, negotiating trade and alliances, or overseeing armies across the lands, RTS fans will find plenty here to enjoy.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Nope. That's all.
Despite the other reviews I love this game and it's one of the first games I played as a kid. It's fun to play and challenging, It's a game from 2004 so you can't expect the most polished experience, but if you're in to games like Total War, Age of Empires, or any of the similar ones in the genre, then you'll enjoy playing this for a few hours given how cheap it is in the first place. Also to that one specific review - it can be challenging but I've never had an issue with attacking walls, you just need to select units that are suited to it and possibly click on a few places along the wall to get them going the right way.

Decent game but nowhere near as good and deep/difficult as LotR II. Downgrade
"Lords of the Realm III" is an ancient game from 2004. It's a whopping 19 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio. It's possible they developed this using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game has been specifically designed for people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really acceptable in the modern era of PC gaming. The game wasn't nearly as successful as the much older Lords of the Realm II, as the developer tilted to try do a more direct ripoff of Medieval: Total War, released to great acclaim 2 years previous, and it's a poor clone. Public reception of this nostalgia gouge has been equally poor with only 8 concurrent players according to SteamDB... it was a flop then and it's a bigger flop now. "Lords of the Realm III" is relatively expensive for an abandonware nostalgia gouge, at $5 USD, and it's not worth it. The game is just too old, hasn't been modernised. And as the old saying goes, you can't go home again.
The Last Game in the Lords of the Realm Series and while it has a Good Creation System for making a Noble type of Character and its Status. Its gameplay looks like something out of the Total War Games. I counted the Combinations of Noble Shields & Nations across all 4 Lords Games... = Lords of the Realm 1-3 = Lords of Magic: Special Edition ...and the Total of Noble Factions and or Shields was 660 Overall. But as for the Number of Possible Combinations, there's 676.
The game feels empty. There is quite little city management element in it. It seems all the player can do is keeping fighting endless battles. Also, the game doesn't provide any statistics about the units or instructions as how to use the units. The players need to test each type of units in the battlefield to learn how it actually performs in a battle. In addition, those knights and vassals never improves/grows, neither do the army/units. It feels so lacking in every aspect.
