Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 20 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Lord of Rigel is a grand space strategy adventure, guide your people through a galaxy in turmoil. Form coalitions to survive the coming war, or discover the secrets of ascension that the elder races fear. Your race will have many obstacles to overcome if they are to survive.
Inspired by classic 4x games and 90s science fiction, Lord of Rigel focuses on reducing late game micromanagement with its colony focus system and other automation tools. Or you can choose to get your hands dirty in real time tactical combat.

Face rival species, including the elder races who view themselves as the rightful guardians of the galaxy. Fend off grand menaces as they attempt to disrupt and direct progress, and gain prestige by defending the galaxy against those who would destroy it.

Shape galactic politics by negotiating trade treaties and alliances. Each species has unique leaders with personalities and cultural traditions that direct their choices. Guide or exploit weaker civilizations to become assets or weapons.

Run a shadow empire and benefit from your spy network through sabotaging fleets, bombing infrastructure, stealing technology, creating the “right” political climate by inciting rebellions.

Design starships and engage in pausable real time tactical combat. From small frigates to planet-killing behemoths, you can upgrade your vessels with beams, fighters, missiles, and more. Use combinations of special systems and weapons to defeat your enemies.

Play as one of 10 available species, each with unique characteristics and behaviors. Use diplomacy, espionage, real time ship combat, and research to define a path for your civilization or join one of the elder races as they fight for control.

Worthy effort but still very early release (as is reflected in the price). Fair number of bugs (didn't run into anything major) that developers quickly address. AI is not very aggressive so winning is not a major challenge. Functionality continues to be added. Graphics are average at best. Good balance that keeps you engaged until you have to take on Rigel and Arcturus.
Lord of Rigel — пошаговая 4X‑стратегия в научно‑фантастическом сеттинге, вдохновлённая классикой жанра (вроде Master of Orion).

This game should receive more praise. It is a good game, especially for those seeking a MOO2 like experience. Developer puts efforts on constantly improving it and fixing errors, which is always appreciated.
Talk about a breath of fresh galactic vacuum! The developer responsiveness is so amazingly awesome. I am a BIG fan of Babylon 5 and Master of Orion (especially MOO 2) and so this game is a really laid back and I love that. If you like classic 4X games you will like Lords of Rigel.
So I decided to give this indie space 4X game a go. It plays very quick and is very playable and satisfying. Yes it does have indie production values but the devs are super cool and responsive bringing out updates every few minutes...er...maybe not that frequently but it feels like it... Anyway im super excited for this games future and hope that it does really well. Its fun and playable.
Solid 4x game with some clever ideas. Well worth playing if you like this genre.
It is a nice game, but my major complaint is that it doesn't save galaxy options, game options, OR custom race picks between games. Add these three and the game will be much better.
Overall, I am going to give this game a narrowed recommend even though there are some stability and memory leak issues that would definitely frustrate people with lower end systems. The heritage back to MOO2 is good with more of a Babylon 5 twist to the Elder races than how the Elder races are laid out in the MOO2 ethos. The classic MOO2 like gameplay with modern graphics and some new technologies is welcome for those who were not happy or satisfied with the more modern MOO remake. I would like the combat system to be a little easier to use than the current design. In addition, this game has been out since 2024, so I wonder why they haven't fixed most if not all the memory leak and performance issues in the game. Instead, they just try to warn you when setting up a game with a larger galaxy that there could be problems. I think if you have a system with 32GB memory or more, you can still ride out the memory issues for a long duration. I'm familiar with this with games like Stellaris so instead of just whining about it forever, I just upgraded my PC to have more memory (thankfully before the AI craze). I still think the developers should go back and take a serious effort to fix either in this title or definitely any type of sequel or follow up.
This game is comically bad. I had, in the past, installed the demo, but very quickly figured out that the demo only offers options that I hate to play. So I always uninstalled it without even playing. Now it was on sale for 3 bucks, so I thought I would give it a try. While still in the start screen I noticed that it performs extremely badly when I task switch. Sometimes it stops responding at all and needs to be killed in task manager. Sometimes (most of the time) it needs a minute (to reload?) between switching back to the game and becoming responsive again. I thought I would try windowed mode to maybe solve these problems. It doesn't offer 1920x1080, so I picked 1600x900. Now when the mouse cursor leaves/reenters the game screen it needs that minute to reload. Every time. And when it is actually running it runs at 1fps. I can't even get through the intro video now. So yeah... 3 bucks and it still was too much.
Great game so far ! And updates are still improving the experience.
