This game has great gameplay feel, art and sound design. The kind of thing that has you smiling as you fail spectacularly. Whether you are in it for time trials or for relaxing rides, there is plenty to enjoy. Even when going for time challenges, you can throw yourself recklessly at the next checkpoint because you're usually not required to meet a crash challenge simultaneously. That means even when you're doing breakneck pace, there is still a relaxed quality to the overall experience. The progression system is nice, and has some nice surprises that also help fill out play time and create replay-ability. Try the demo, it speaks for itself.

[i]Fun if you don't take it too seriously[/i] As the title states I think that is the best away to approach Lonely Mountains: Downhill. There are some technical oddities like occasionally the game will change interpretation of which direction you are turning and go 180* opposite. Its not a frequent occurrence but its certainly annoying when it happens. Also perspective with hazards can sometimes be any issue, where you wonder how exactly did I crash into that rock or tree. There are these explorable "rest areas" and "messages" hidden around the levels (usually way off the typical path) but I don't think they did a good enough job incorporating them into any of the gameplay. I think there should have been a special mode specifically for these to encourage exploration. To a similar vane, if you fall off any time/any mode the best that can happen is respawn at the previous checkpoint. If you are interested in free exploring weird areas of the map this makes it very challenging at times. The game has online leaderboards but I don't think this shines as a serious competition score/time attack challenge. If you go that route your gonna have to learn all the nuances of the camera and the oddities of every track layout. For most people this is probably out of the question and likely will result in extreme frustration. In summation, its fun in short casual bursts. Well suited for portable on-the-go play.

El juego esta bien, pero la optimización para mac es terrible (al menos para los que tienen un chip M). Aun poniendo todo al mínimo, un juego que literalmente tiene cuatro polígonos, el mac sube a temperaturas de un cohete de la NASA en pleno despegue.
