LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP is a well refined revival of the cult favourite game originally released in 2012. I personally think that this was an enjoyable hack and slash zombie game with a unique sense of humour, and distinct yet lovable characters. The plotline follows the main character, Juliet Starling, through a variety of events that lead to her fighting bosses that are all generally based around certain fashion/music movements. I personally believe that all of the antagonists are some of the most uniquely designed characters that I have seen, incorporating the classic stylistic elements that are seen in SUDA51 and Grassshopper Manufacture's work. I love all of the references that the game makes to old school alternative styles and music eras, and doing research on the characters was a really enjoyable post-game experience. All of the detailed character sheets and beta designs lead you to realise that these are actually really fleshed out characters and so much thought is put into the world building. My personal favourite is Lewis Legend. Overall, I love how I can clearly tell that the developers put so much love and effort into creating this game. The main story gameplay from start to finish took me around 7.5 hours to finish, but I went back for multiple reruns to try and get all of the achievements. As someone who likes to collect achievements I found that the gameplay could be a little bit repetitive but it was very satisfying to hunt them down regardless. Most of the achievements felt very unique and fun to get, especially the ones related to the boss fights. One detail I really liked is how they have an achievement related to harvesting crops in a tractor, which made me laugh as it reminded me of how you can mow the lawn in No More Heroes. I thought it was a really fun detail that the developers put into all of their games. Additionally, I thought the humour in this game was very refreshing. There was a lot of crass talk but it followed the classic SUDA51 style of humour and a lot of the lines made me laugh. I thought it was especially refreshing that Juliet was ditzy and nonsensical, but because her entire family and literally every other character was even more nonsensical and weird, Nick being a normal dude actually made HIM the odd one out. The first run of the game was genuinely so fun and if you are alright with crude jokes, I think it is so worth it to play. Overall I think that this was such a refreshing game and I loved platinuming it. I truly believe that any player of any kind would find value and enjoyment from this game and I highly recommend it!

I love love love this game!! Its really cool but depending on your skill level you might take a bit. I'm playing on easy mode and STILL haven't finished it. Its not that its super hard or anything I'm just really bad at games. Jimmy Urine kinda jumpscared me so that was fun :3
