Loca Deserta: Odesa

[b][i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i][/b] is a crafting and city-building game set in the historical south of Ukraine, specifically the seaport Odesa, where you play as a Cossack who helps to build the local economy. You gather resources by chopping down trees for logs, mining stone for blocks and taking logs to a sawmill to turn into boards in order to erect various types of buildings, farms & fields which produce a variety of different goods & items, some of which are used to produce more complex goods & items. Across the map there are 23 buildings/farms/fields to build in all, most of which are upgradable, for a total of 64 upgrades in all. Most buildings essentially have 3 levels, and an upgraded level 3 building will naturally produce a greater number of its specified goods/items with each use than it can at level 1 (or 2). In addition to the building aspect, there are many NPCs for you to talk to all over the map, some of which simply give you helpful information or tidbits of story, while others ask you to complete quests for them. The quests entail crafting/producing various good & items and bringing them to the NPC in order to complete said quest, and with each completed quest there are additions/changes to the vicinity surrounding the NPC whom you just completed the quest for. There are 69 quests to complete in all. Along the way there are also 5 hidden treasures to discover & dig up, each of which relate to a different historical Ukrainian figure. Certain NPCs will give you hints about where to find these hidden treasures (& eventually mark their location on the map) as you complete quests for them. [i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i] features a simple & cute polygonal graphical style and a charming music score, both of which work well with its theme. The gameplay is on the slower paced side, and it does take some patience while playing because there is a lot of walking back & forth and all around involved. The speed at which your Cossack character walks depends upon the surface you're walking on, thus it's faster (& usually more efficient) to walk along the dirt paths & cobblestone roads when you can rather than across the rough terrain. You're only able to carry one type of goods/item with you at a time and only up to 5 of that particular goods/item, with the exception of animals where you can only carry 1 cow or horse at a time and 2 sheep at a time. If you're into or interested in this type of crafting and city-building game, then the process will be enjoyable & fun. All in all, [i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i] is a delightful & satisfying little game and an easy one to get into. It took me just over 9 hours to complete the game and obtain all 32 of its achievements (every one of which is easy to get as you progress naturally through the game). I thoroughly enjoyed it and for only $3.99, I believe [i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i] is definitely well worth its price. P.S. For anyone interested; while [i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i] is developer Dmytro Gladkyi's only game on Steam, he's actually made & released a number of different mobile games, all with a similar historical Ukraine theme. Within [i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i] there are even a few nods/references to its immediate predecessor, [i]Loca Deserta: Sloboda 2[/i].

Приємна графіка та легке управління. Круто що гра вийшла на міжнародний ринок. Однозначно найкраща українська гра 2023-го з сюжетом нашої Історії.

Very enjoyable game. Found some gold coins that I have no idea what to do with

Звісно, можна сварити гру за однотипність геймплею чи озвучення за допомогою штучного інтелекту. Але коли я зрубав дерево і мій персонаж персонаж сказав "вельмишановне дякую", я зрозумів що гра заслуговує тільки на позитивну рецензію. Гра має приємний візуал, класну музику яка мені не набридає та чисто український вайб. Мені подобається що в грі приділяється багато уваги деталям, таким як побутові українські фрази ремесників чи різноманітності та життєвості історій людей з якими зустрінеться головний герой. Мені як гравцю хотілося побачити живе озвучання, щоб могло в рази покращити досвід знайомства з грою. Також мені не вистачало якоїсь додаткової прогресії. Хотілося щоб була можливість швидше і в більшій кількості переносити ресурси. Також, хотілося би розділити кнопки на видобування та опускання інструментів, бо це інколи дратувало. Більш зручний спосіб добувати ресурси, щоб не крутитися на місці, теж би було б чудово. У гри є над чим працювати. Не зважаючи на це, я щиро раджу купити вам цю гру, бо видно, що вона зроблена з любов'ю!

Death stranding на мінімалках або симулятор кур'єра. Всю гру доставляєш предмети з пункту а в пункт б, гра доволі коротка тому на щастя це не встигає набриднути. Звісно гру рекомендую, це якісна грабельна гра від українців для українців. Графіка недуже але очі не коле. Сюжета як такого нема, окрім коротких діалогів з Npc, та його відсутність не заважає. Сподобалась музика бандуристів і достатньо легкі досягнення. З мінусів, зустрічались баги, боровся з ними перезаходом в гру.
