A super cozy and comforting game! If you love games like Stardew Valley, this is a no brainer! I've lost hours in what feels like minutes building my little town, levelling up my skills in a no-stress environment that still presented a fun challenge, and there's lots to explore! Getting to know the NPCs is always my favourite part of games like these, and the diverse cast of Littlewood does not disappoint. Adorable dialogue that had me squealing! The story unfolds at a great pace, and the lore! I'll leave it up to future players to discover just how good it is. ;) Thanks to the developer for the cutest game i've discovered in a while! Can't wait to see what else it has in store!

it's like if stardew valley wasn't overwhelming. 10/10 experience
Imagine Stardew Valley but it's soulless and not fun. I don't mean it's trying to be like Stardew Valley, but we are walking around pixel art town and axing down trees to make numbers go up, so. Yeah, like so many indie games: the art looks neat, but the game design, purpose, and "math", is awful. Stardew Valley is an example of a game with great math and also great spirit.) All the little icon pop-ups and instructions feel like they were directed in a conference room by a social media corporation's VP of marketing and a committee of scummy psychologists. Yet another disgrace to videogames.
At about 5 hours into the game I have to say that it feels pretty fast paced, the characters are interesting (and unexpectedly flirty) and I'm not struggling figuring out the controls. That said, I feel like we should have more crops spaces in the early game because I can barely grow anything.
I let this game sit in my backlog because the pixel art style put me off, but after giving it a go, it's now among my top 3 farming/life sim games of all time. It has an incredibly satisfying game loop that constantly rewards you (motivating you to keep playing "just one more day!") while also feeling super cozy and zero stress because there's no time mechanic in the game. The game only moves forward when you take actions. The game starts small and you unlock more and more as you go, so you never feel overwhelmed. The NPCs are diverse and interesting to talk to, and you get to know them one by one as they slowly come to town, so again, you're not overwhelmed with trying to get to know everyone right away. No tedious inventory management. Complete terraforming control of the map (and its easy to do). Excellently designed game. 10/10.

7.5/10 wood play again
Such a cute and cozy game! I have also put some hours into the Switch version. 135 to be exact. I particularly like how rather than having energy or stamina your actions cause time to pass instead. I've been unable to find a game that feels similar enough to scratch the itch that Littlewood created in me so subsequent playthroughs are a must.
