Straightforward, short, and cute game, the dialog is pleasant to read and follow.
deeply uninteresting. i love visual novels and fun personality quizzes, but this game was incredibly underwhelming. it's written for a very specific audience that finds little "technically a thousand years old" anime girls attractive. Lilith has no unique characteristics, both visually and literarily, and the whole quiz and certificate gimmick was very boring. the premise itself isn't bad... but the delivery was not worth the time. i do look forward to the devs' next project, because i'm confident they could make a better game next time, so long as they create something that isn't solely based on what lonely 4channers find appealing.

Игра "Lilith Wants to Buy Your Soul" - это увлекательный коктейль из стратегии, юмора и темной магии.

❗StatusCompleted

🎮Played OnSteamDeck Only

⏱️Game Length13 minutes. A single sitting, obviously.

🔄Replay ValueLow. The branching questions likely lead somewhere different depending on how you answer, so there is some reason to go back if you are curious what Lilith says when you push her the other way. But it is 13 minutes, so replaying is about as low-commitment as it gets.

💙Favorites💬 The Wholesome Twist: Depending on how you answer Lilith's questions, the game goes somewhere genuinely unexpected. The dialogue about the value of a soul, about keeping it for yourself, about being uniquely you and that being good enough, hit differently than I expected from a game about selling your soul to a demon. It earns the "oddly wholesome" label. 💬 The Premise Lands: Lilith wants to appraise your soul like a used car. That is funny. The whole thing is cute and light without trying too hard.

🛠️Improvements💭 Control Consistency on SteamDeck: Selecting options requires the right trigger, but dialogue advances with A. Two different inputs for similar actions feels inconsistent and is worth smoothing out for controller players. 💭 Reaction Time Questions on Deck: Some questions ask for a fast answer, which is harder to pull off on SteamDeck controls. If hesitation is intentional (Lilith does comment on it), making that framing explicit in-game would help it feel like a design choice rather than a platform limitation. 💭 Lean Into the Appraisal: The concept has so much more room to breathe. Callbacks to earlier answers, questions that build on what you already said, using your honest responses as leverage against you later in the conversation. The idea of a soul appraisal where your own openness lowers your guard is genuinely compelling and the current version only touches the edges of what it could be.

🎯VerdictRecommended. It is free and it takes around 13 minutes, so the bar for "worth it" is basically just "is it interesting" and yes, it is. Lilith wants to appraise your soul, the whole thing is cute and a little surprising, and depending on which way you go, the dialogue gets oddly earnest about the value of being exactly who you are. The SteamDeck controls are a little inconsistent and the concept has a lot more room to run than the current version uses, but for a free 13-minute game it is a fun little detour. As for what my soul is worth: no less than a console, which nowadays I guess means I am worth a bit. Yeah?

i'm worth less than a gym membership.. jokes aside, nice short game, enjoyed it
I will give a thumbs up to it, because i had fun and generally like the idea, but morally i feel like i should give it a dislike. (guess my soul isn't worth enough for "A home in Iowa" after all. Game "mechanics" spoilers ahead Fun little Visual Novel, no real choices to make, only HOW you make them. It had some disturbing/despicable things at it's core, but can also be seen as a little one-time(or however many you want, with a bit of curiosity) cheer up thing, but can also be the reverse, if you are a negative person. It's like worse and better DDLC. I don't care for DDLC much, but THIS game disgusts me in parts, altho i find it somewhat interesting in other parts. I had a fun 20 minutes, i liked the questions and what it made me think about, but by using tropes, restrictions and a "pick-me"(and drop) attitude the game seems to me like it just wants to appeal and nothing more. Shame, really The game is free, so even tho it appeals to you to like it in a few ways i don't necessarily approve of, i can close my eyes on those. Altho i really don't know if i should. It has this *parasocial* quality to it. And it doesn't help that the game imitates "real life" by not allowing a replay feature(unless you really want it by bypassing the block). I'm biased towards games that restrict it's use in any way, shape or form(I look at you, Gacha games), even tho i agree it might be an art-sy way to make the game more involved, i guess. There's also a possibility that the game tries to hide its simplicity and seem better than it is by not allowing you to replay it. Because at the end of day, it's not a piece of art, it's an entertainment piece of media with an anime girl, that has some unsavory underbelly in my opinion.
Free, cute, and well worth the minutes of your time it takes to play through.
Really cool
I don't have much to say... My soul is worth a nuggets...
Fun game that fills you with determination.
