Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
While seeking life on a distant planet, an astronaut discovers an abandoned Russian town. He suspects his mission is a hoax until a mysterious young woman saves him from a strange and deadly phenomenon... Lifeless Planet is a third-person action-adventure that features an old-school sci-fi story and spectacular environments in the spirit of classic action-adventures.
After a hard landing on the planet, the astronaut discovers the planet that was reported to be rich with life is instead a barren wasteland. When he goes searching for his crew, he makes a more startling discovery: evidence that humans have already been to this planet years ago! When he comes upon a deserted Soviet-era Russian town, he struggles to make sense of his mission. Did his light-speed travel to the planet send him back in time? Or is this all some strange Cold War hoax?
Along the way, the astronaut meets a Russian woman, Aelita, who is somehow able to survive the hostile atmosphere of the planet. Through an unusual natural phenomenon, her skin causes the soil to glow green under her feet. The player must use these glowing tracks as a guide across the planet past treacherous and deadly threats. Is she leading him to safety... or an untimely death?
Lifeless Planet was inspired by Cold War era science fiction stories, posing questions about humankind's desire for space travel. What if you journeyed across the galaxy to another planet, only to find humans had already been there? What kind of person would sign up for a one-way mission, leaving behind planet Earth and everyone they've ever known and love... to go in search of an Earth-like planet?
Equipped with a limited-use jet-pack and a mobile robotic arm, the player must use wits and skill to solve puzzles, unravel the mystery, and survive the Lifeless Planet!
Explore 20 unique and atmospheric environments on a vast and treacherous planet.
Follow a mysterious young woman as she guides you past dangerous terrain and deadly life-forms.

Lifeless Planet: Premier Edition

Positives:
+ Nice idea + The storytelling and deeper meaning + Mysterious and atmospheric + Nice retro looking graphics + Good sounds + Fantastic music + The free view in and out zoom (scroll wheel) + Some nice places to explore + Achievements + Cool platforming and puzzles + Good length (about 5 hours)
Negatives:
- A few parts have low resolution textures - A lot of the same looking lanscapes - Unpolished controls makes platforming a bit frustrating at parts (its not keyboard friendly) - Almost no options or adjustments are available in the menu - Some parts are not as entertaining as the rest - You can get stuck here and there - A few bugs and glitches - A bit higher run speed would be preferable - The ending is not as good as the rest (but still okay)
Conclusion:
This was a really interesting, atmospheric and retro looking space adventure. There is more beneath the surface than at first glance. Anyone who is interested in space, sci fi, platforming, walking simulators or indie games should play this. Its a hidden gem, though a bit unpolished and rough in some areas, but its nothing serious. And man do I love the soundtrack, its so beautiful. You should play this, you will not regret it. And the sequel is even better, so dont forget to play that one as well.
Total Score: 7/10
A fun little walking/platformer game that's very chill. It's one of those games that's very relaxing to play on the weekend, when it's time to sit down and relax to enjoy some games. Some of the game's mechanic is outdated and you can feel it. Basic puzzels nothing special sadly, story is ok but you have to read most of it to get the full picture. Overall game is fun and relaxing sometimes a bit tedious, but it is an older game so that's expected. "I'm Commander Shepard and I recommend this game... on a sale"
A lot of people have already written reviews pointing out what they didn't like about the game, so I'd like to focus on something I don't see discussed too much: the tags. The game is sold to you as an "atmospheric" "puzzle platformer" with a focus on "exploration". The "puzzle" tag is a honest mistake at best and a bald-faced lie at worst. There are no simply no puzzles, unless you count pushing buttons in a random order without any guidance or hints from the game until it eventually works out as a "puzzles". I think that throughout the five to six hours of gameplay there was maybe one interaction worth calling a puzzle and a child could have solved it in less than two minutes. I don't mean that puzzles in games should always be difficult or challenging, but you have to involve some kind of logic or deduction skills to justify that label. The exploration is a joke, too. Most of the time, if you take the time to drag your character off the beaten path at the snail-like pace at which he moves, you just end up facing a dead end and having to retrace your steps. There's nothing to look at, no clues scattered around the environment to help you piece together the story, nothing to collect except a single mineral once in a blue moon for which your reward is a silly log entry about how much your main character likes rocks. Oh, and an achievement, I suppose. They're not even cool alien minerals, which would have been a creative way of immersing the player in the alien world, just plain old earth rocks like coal and sulfur. Finally, and maybe this is more of a personal opinion, but I think you either need stunning visuals or incredible artistic direction to call your game "atmospheric". Just as its title promises, Lifeless Planet has neither. Every environment is just dull, barren and painted in washed-out colors. Overall, I don't even think it's a bad game, but I seriously feel like I've fallen for false advertisement. This should be sold as what it actually is: a slow-paced, linear, science fiction themed walking simulator that include a few relatively straight foward platfomrning sections.
