About
Libritopia is the library simulator where the books are real. Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Dostoevsky, Jules Verne and many others: all the great classics of world literature can be on your shelves, ready for readers who don't always know exactly what they want — and it's up to you to help them!
Manage a massive collection of literary works in a library that grows with you, with friends or alone. But a library is more than books: each visitor has a name, history and preferences. They request specific titles, return books late, disturb other readers, and sometimes get so frustrated they throw books at you.

Every day brings new tasks: books to repair, shelves to rearrange, and labels to create. And shipments of new titles never stop arriving! You can order titles by author, genre, or exact name, but surprises (and duplicates) may show up too. When you have more books than shelves, no problem: schedule a Donation Day and decide which duplicate volumes find a new home.

In Survival Mode, each run is scored and pressure builds every day — shipments keep coming, and when visitors lose patience, books fly. Right at your face. In Relaxed Mode, you build your dream library at your own pace, organize every shelf your way, and there's no game over.

All modes support online co-op so you can split tasks with friends and let the chaos reign — or go solo if you prefer to be one of those legendary hermit librarians. There's room for everyone here!

A collection of real public domain classics from world literature: if it was published and belongs to everyone, it's here for you to organize however you like
Returns, check-outs, damaged books and visitors with specific needs: the full bibliophile chaos package
Two game modes: Survival (more pressure and chaos every day) and Relax (no time limit and no books flying at your head)
Online co-op: share tasks with friends or a partner to unwind together (or create chaos, that's up to you)
Organize your shelves your way: by genre, author, year, country, color, or any criteria that only makes sense to you
Full library customization: walls, floors, windows, furniture, plants, paintings
Create your avatar: body type, hair, clothes and accessories
Try it on Steam Deck!
The Libritopia of January 2025 and the one you can play today are very different games. Since launch we've added NPC registration, a tablet feature, graphics updates, avatar customization, Steam achievements, Linux support, Relax Mode, and many new languages!
Much of this came directly from our community. Special events like the Book Donation Day were created by request to handle duplicate titles. Avatar customization was implemented based on player feedback, and we regularly add new open-access books suggested by the community so every player can take care of the titles they love.
Because like any good library, our collection is always growing.
Welcome, Librarian. Grab your stack of books and let's get started.

The mechanics of this game? 4/5 stars with room for very easy improvement that they're maybe on the cusp of? Hard to say for sure since they've been radio silent for a while without much indication for what's to come. How it functions today? 2/5 at best. My husband and I both bought this game to play together. We sailed through many survival...struggled through others (trying to survive day 9 when they can come in requesting books you don't have before you have the chance to tell the customers you'll request them....a GLARING oversight by the devs) but now in the mid-twenties, it just fails. We can't progress our library because it locks up on one or both of us until we're forced to quit. I originally thought this was a game where the devs cared about the subject matter and the players, but sadly it seems to be yet another cash grab. In sum, we loved it (despite a few obvious flaws) until it no longer worked for us.
game cozy and fun

I recommend this game to anyone who wants to challenge and train their mind.
not bad. 6/10

there's no reason a rudimentarily designed game like this needs the equipment requirements this does. my desktop pc that runs massive games like MMOs and BRs without issue shouldn't struggle to keep a game this low quality open.
Really enjoyed this, love seeing the updates rolling in
